Chapter 962

Stella was almost laughing to death. She recorded the whole process.
Under Chicago's protection, Jessie felt wronged and kept provoking the dog bed, but it didn't dare get close at all.
"Mommy..." Chicago looked blankly at Fiona.
In theory, Milo was wrong. It shouldn't have snatched Jessie's dog bed.
But emotionally, Milo was so cute. It wanted to sleep in the dog bed.
Jessie had many dog beds; it didn't lack this one!
Fiona said, "The matters of small animals should be communicated and resolved by the small animals themselves, just like the matters between children are resolved by the children themselves!"
"Oh right..." Chicago turned around, comforting Jessie's head. "Jessie! You are the elder. Let Milo sleep for a while. When Milo wakes up, you can reason with it!"
Chicago didn't know whether Jessie followed this reasoning. But she knew that Jessie wanted to go back to the dog bed and was beaten twice by Milo.
Today was a study day for the kids who had been playing outside for two days.
In order to go go fishing and catch shrimp in the river again at dusk, the three kids started their homework, studies, classes, and exams at 8:30 a.m..
The fourth kid, Charles, spent the morning as an engineer in a programming meeting.
Fiona was off to the postnatal care center to visit Thalassa and the baby.
She left Darwin in charge of the kids and the kittens.
Darwin helped Fiona into her car and watched as it drove away.
Just as he was about to go back, he heard someone calling him. "Mr. Solomon!"
Darwin turned around and saw the boy who had almost been hit by a bicycle the day before yesterday.
He was wearing a suit that looked quite expensive, with an innocent smile on his face.
Darwin, in a daze, seemed to see a shadow of Charles between his eyebrows. But just a little bit. Charles didn't smile much, and the contrast in their expressions diluted these similarities.
"Why are you here?" Darwin leaned on his cane and looked around.
Since Thalassa had the baby, many people had come to visit the Walker family to congratulate them.
People from all walks of life were there.
Most of the time, it was Matt who took care of things, and Scarlet was also there today, so there were more guests than before.
Looking at the child's attire, Darwin thought it was probably a child brought by a visiting guest. "Where are your parents?"
"Mr. Solomon, you saved me that day. Thank you!" The boy said politely. "Can I have your contact information? My mom said she wanted to give you a thank-you gift later."
"Tell your Mom there's no need to be polite. Next time you cross the street, be sure to observe more; don't be so careless." After Darwin finished speaking, he didn't intend to say anything more to the child, turned around, and walked away.
The incident of Darwin falling last time made Xavier feel guilty again. He was careless for just a while, and the boss got injured. So now, Xavier dared not distract himself at all.
Seeing Darwin finish seeing off Fiona and stand still for a while, Xavier was about to check on him.
But then Darwin turned back.
Xavier subconsciously sighed in relief.
"Why so nervous?" Darwin walked up to Xavier and suddenly asked in a cold tone.
Xavier was stunned.
This tone and demeanor... it was like the previous Mr. Solomon!
