Chapter 1061
Alexander looked at Darwin with some surprise.
Darwin gave him a relieved smile. "I don't want to dwell on memories anymore."
Alexander was never one to force things.
Moreover, the Beaumont family had also advised against Darwin using any extreme measures to recover his memory.
The best way would be to let nature take its own course.
"Understood." Alexander nodded. "In that case, I have more free time now and can take Stella to more places she likes."
"Yes," Darwin responded.
Neither of them was very talkative, so they each looked at their own people and didn't say anything more.
They arrived at the parking lot.
The two families got into their respective cars and then went their separate ways.
Because of Jessie's injury, the seats in the back of his vehicle were all laid flat, connecting with the trunk.
Chicago took on the responsibility of taking care of Jessie.
Charlotte was now inseparable from Chicago.
Naturally, she got into that car as well.
Christopher decided to join them too.
There were her, Darwin, and Charles in Fiona's car.
Originally, she wanted to call Ethan over.
However, when she went to find Ethan, he had already quietly gone to Xavier's car.
That day, Chicago was pushed into the water by Abigail, Ethan was also there.
He was terrified and didn't go to the hospital afterward; he went back to the Walker family by himself. After that accident, he became even more silent.
After getting into the car, Fiona checked the straps of Charles's car seat and casually said, "I forgot to talk to Ethan these past two days."
"Talk about what?" Charles asked.
"He was there when your sister fell into the water, wasn't he?" Fiona replied gently, "You know Ethan is introverted by nature. I'm worried he might be keeping things bottled up inside."
"Honey, you don't have to worry about everyone," Darwin said.
"Ethan once saved Chicago's life, and he's lost family members. We should be more concerned about him." Fiona looked back at Darwin.
Darwin was silent for two seconds. "Got it."
"Alright, let's go. I hope we can make it in time to have dinner with Grandma." Fiona added.
The convoy slowly moved.
Fiona hadn't slept well the night before and fell asleep holding Charles's hand.
Darwin glanced at her through the rearview mirror.
He took out his phone and posted something on Facebook.
Fiona was woken up by him. When she opened her eyes, they were already back at Emerald Pool.
She stretched and sent a voice message to Thalassa. "Thalassa, we got home safely, don't worry."
Thalassa immediately sent a bunch of voice messages back.
Fiona listened while getting out of the car.
As she listened, she subconsciously did a headcount.
She quickly noticed something was off.
A car was missing, and so were some people.
"Where's Xavier's car?" Fiona put away her phone and asked.
"Mrs. Solomon, Xavier just called and said Ethan wanted to go straight home, so they changed course to take him home," a security guard quickly said.
Fiona frowned slightly.
"This kid didn't even say a word and just went home," as she was muttering, Ethan's Facebook message came in.
Ethan: [Mrs. Solomon, I still have homework to finish. The summer tutoring for Chicago ended three days ago.]
Fiona thought for a moment and replied.
Fiona: [Alright, thank you for your hard work, Ethan. See you when school starts.]
As she sent the message, Darwin walked over.
His eyes glanced at Fiona's phone screen.
He asked, "Ethan?"
"Yes, he said he went back to do homework. I thought he had finished it all. It seems your daughter has been quite a burden on Ethan," Fiona said, looking around and seeing Chicago directing people to carry Jessie into the elevator.
