Chapter 787 How about Be My Son-in-law?

"I'm big sister, always gotta be a little different!" Chicago said as she leaned her cheek against Thalassa's belly.

This time, she clearly felt a kick from the little sister inside Thalassa's belly.

"She moved!" Thalassa was overjoyed.

"She has moved often lately but has never had a time that you met!" Thalassa teased.

Chicago leaned against the belly again and felt it once more.

"Is the little sister saying hi to me?" Her big eyes sparkled. It was her first time in life to meet a baby who hadn't been born yet, and never had she expected something so magical.

"Of course!" Thalassa spoke and then looked at Charles. "Charles, do you want to listen too?"

Charles hesitated for a moment but eventually walked down the stairs.

Thalassa reached out and held his hand.

Charles glanced at Thalassa and carefully pressed his ear against her belly.

Then, he distinctly heard something rumble beneath Thalassa's belly.

Charles's beautiful eyes instantly lit up with amazement.

After Thalassa got pregnant, Charles had seen animations of an embryo growing into a baby.

However, Charles still found it was incredibly magical to feel it vividly.

"How is it?" Thalassa's eyes sparkled too.

"So... it's so happy." Charles's biggest feeling was happiness.

The happiness of the first contact with the new family.

Thalassa, upon hearing this, was suddenly overwhelmed by the sensitive emotions of a pregnant woman; her lips quivered, with eyes welled up. "Charles, can you promise godmother something, okay?"

"Okay!" Charles nodded.

"Charles, godmother didn't even say what it was; you might get sold off like this!" Chicago kindly reminded me.

Thalassa burst into laughter.

It was Chicago that understood her.

"I won't be your godmother anymore, okay?" Thalassa's eyes sparkled. "If it's a sister, will you be a son-in-law to me in the future?"

"Thalassa!" Fiona's tone carried a hint of helplessness and warning.

Charles was dumbfounded.

Chicago was also momentarily stunned, but then her eyes gradually lit up.

"Sure!" She blurted out.

Just a moment ago, she was worried, but now everything seemed to fall into place!

Chicago thought, 'If the little sister marries Charles, he wouldn't turn out like Uncle Burl!'

'Godmother is pretty; godfather is super handsome, and the little sister must be beautiful too!'

"Why are you so happy?" Thalassa asked with a smile, "What if it's a little brother? Will you be a good daughter-in-law to me?"

Chicago's smile froze.

Then, she maintained basic courtesy. "No, I want to date freely!"

"Chicago, doesn't your brother need to date freely, too?" Fiona smiled, seizing the opportunity to ask.
Chicago grumbled, "Mommy, you don't understand, Daddy does! Daddy understands what I mean, right?"
Darwin suddenly found himself in a tricky situation.
"Daddy understands?" Fiona looked at Darwin curiously.
Darwin nodded. "Daddy probably understands."
"Daddy does understand!" Chicago concluded.
"You guys are so boring. Whether it's a little brother or a little sister, who they will marry, that is not up to you adults." Charles spoke seriously, "It is modern society now. Don't try to control our marriages; that's not cool."
Those adults were lost for words.
"Goodnight." Charles politely bid goodnight and was about to go upstairs.
Suddenly, he remembered something.
"Let's not mention the little brother, I'm afraid, if we see Matt next time. You might accidentally spill the beans; then Matt will be devastated."
Matt was Kenny's father, Matt Walker.
Lately, Matt has been showing signs of anxiety.
Kenny insisted on not determining the gender.
Kenny hoped that his and Thalassa's child would be born in the greatest anticipation and blessings.
If it were a son, many people would have been disappointed.
He didn't want that.
A son or daughter, both were born after Thalassa's difficult pregnancy. Both were significant.
Kenny didn't prefer girls or boys. They were all equal.

"Oh, that's right!" Thalassa immediately agreed. "Charles, thank you for the reminder!"
"You're welcome!" Charles said, leaving the room full of adults to take a shower.
Ever since Chicago started school, there had been changes every day.
Before, even if she made a new friend or met new little animals or plants, she would come back and introduce them to him first.
But now...
Chicago had many little secrets that he didn't understand.
Chicago had secrets between her and Daddy.
And now she had another one; she didn't let him love freely, attempting to interfere with his marriage's little secret.
After chatting with the little sister for a while, Chicago felt sleepy and went upstairs.
Thalassa was in a good mood today.
She chatted with Fiona for a long time before being taken to rest by Kenny.
After everyone left, Fiona relaxed, leaned on the sofa, glanced at Darwin, hooked his waist, and brought the two closer.
"Ever since Thalassa came back, you've been a bit upset, sulking, and silent by just now; what's wrong? Jealous of Thalassa again?" Fiona traced Darwin's nose bridge.
Darwin really enjoyed Fiona's various touches.
Even just Fiona's light tracing made him feel like every pore on his body had opened up.
"Again?" Darwin caught the essence of her words.
"Yeah, you used to love being jealous of her, Memories may be gone, but instincts remain, right? Mr. Solomon." Fiona teased.
Darwin hugged Fiona's waist, resting his forehead against her collarbone.
"Does Thalassa always talk like this way to Charles and Chicago?" Darwin asked.
"Yes." Fiona nodded. "Although there's a big age difference, the three of them are more like... friends?"
"However, Charles and Chicago are still kids; she should control herself, like not telling Chicago about kissing, that kind of thing where I kiss your lip off, and saying that adults bite each other when they like each other!" Darwin was still shocked by these things!
Fiona was stunned.
Then she burst into laughter. "So our daughter knows that her dad bit mommy's lips?"
Darwin's ears immediately turned red.
Darwin tightened his grip on Fiona's waist. "Stop laughing; I'm talking about serious matters... Thalassa shouldn't teach Chicago like this; what if she gets curious too early and starts dating soon?"
"As long as there's no sexual activity, what's wrong with that?"
"No way!" Darwin immediately let go of Fiona, sitting up, "At least... after 25 years old! Most men are bad guys! She needs to be mentally mature enough to date so she can recognize bad men and not get hurt!"
"Alright, alright." Fiona gently stroked his cheek. "Don't worry; I'll give Thalassa a good scolding tomorrow. What did she teach our daughter?"
In reality, Fiona had also talked with Chicago. Such as about boyfriends, etc.
It seemed that they shouldn't tell Darwin this matter.
How did he bear it if he knew?
