Chapter 1330

Marigold seemed pretty soft-spoken, her questions coming out all gentle-like.

Vivienne raised her hand like she was about to yell again.

"Are you talking about Emrys taking Vespera to visit my grandma yesterday?" Fiona looked at Vivienne and said, "What a coincidence, I went to see my grandma yesterday too, and we just happened to run into each other."

Vivienne's face changed a bit, then she tried to add, "My grandma's mind isn't all there anymore."

"She seemed perfectly clear yesterday, sharing all these fascinating stories from the past. She even praised Emrys for being so thoughtful, knowing she wanted to visit my grandma and eat at a restaurant they used to go to, so he took her there with his own money," Fiona said, her tone steady. "I found it odd then, thinking Vespera's family was small and needed a boy to make her wishes come true, but today, I see that's not the case."

Fiona's gaze swept over everyone in the room as she thought about Vespera's life. Vespera had become a mom at a really young age, and it was said that when she started working for the Mitchell family, she already had one kid. In total, she had six kids: two daughters and four sons.

"With so many adults around, why was it Emrys who stepped up to help her fulfill her wish?" Chicago's soft voice rang out, clearly blaming someone.

She got the whole situation.

Vivienne said, "Miss Solomon, her health isn't good; she can't travel back and forth!"

"If her health isn't good, then her wishes should be fulfilled even more!" Chicago argued, making sense.

The adults in the room looked tense.

"Chicago, don't be rude." Fiona only mildly scolded after Chicago finished talking.

Chicago snorted.

"I'm an outsider, so technically I shouldn't be involved in this," Fiona said, looking at Vivienne. "But saying that Vespera was worn out by Emrys is just plain unfair."

Everyone in the yard knew what was up.

But after Vespera passed away, when the lawyer came to read the will, it turned out that besides splitting the savings equally among the families, she also left her jewelry and a house in Bay City to Emrys.

Everyone had checked Vespera's stuff last night.

They all felt something was off.

Vespera had worked for a rich family her whole life, and Brooke was super generous, giving Vespera lots of nice things.

But now, those things weren't in the will.

If the items were missing, it meant Vespera had secretly given them to someone else, or someone had stolen them while Vespera wasn't clear-minded.

Most of the time, they were all at work.

The only ones taking care of Vespera at home were Emrys and his family of three.

If it wasn't them who took it, then who else could it be?

So, when everyone found out that Emrys had taken Vespera to the Mitchell family, they jumped at the chance. Vivienne's husband, Wesley Blacksmith, even unexpectedly slapped Emrys.

Then the argument started.

"Mrs. Solomon, this is also considered our family matter, please let us handle it ourselves." At this moment, Wesley stood up.

There was a hint of Vespera's shadow in his expression.

"Mrs. Solomon, Emrys may look honest, but he has a tendency to steal. A lot of things have gone missing from my grandma's room..." Vivienne's voice trailed off, leaving the sentence unfinished.

Fiona's heavy gaze fixed on her, the fake friendliness completely gone.
