Chapter 888
"Mama! Daddy, I really love my room!" Fiona buried her head in the covers helplessly.
"Mama!" Chicago shouted again.
"I'm coming," Fiona responded, rising from the bed.
Darwin extended a hand to help her up.
The couple walked out of the main house, one after the other, prioritizing the children's safety.
The children's rooms were all on the first floor.
Scarlet had put a lot of effort into decorating them. Even Charlotte and Ethan's rooms, which she was less familiar with, were arranged very warmly.
"I really like Mrs. Walker. I want to draw a picture for her!" Chicago held Fiona's hand, beaming with happiness.
Fiona smiled and looked around, not seeing Charles. Then she asked, "Where's Charles?"
"Charles is in his room reading." Charlotte pointed to a room.
Fiona walked over.
Through the half-open window, she saw Charles sitting at the desk, deeply engrossed in reading.
She glanced at the book's cover.
Some people can be engrossed in reading a book. While some people, just by looking at the title, start to get a headache.
"He's amazing." Ethan, standing next to Fiona, remarked with admiration, "With the knowledge I have now, I can't understand this book."
"Really?" Fiona looked at Ethan and said, "Don't worry if you don't understand it now. It's okay. You'll understand it later."
Ethan nodded very approvingly.
He had just entered Charles's room as well.
The books Scarlet had prepared for him were quite challenging.
Although most were beyond Ethan's current understanding, there were two that he could barely comprehend.
This holiday, besides tutoring Chicago, Ethan had two new goals.
One was to tackle these two challenging books!
"Ethan, you're already very talented. Charles is different!" Chicago earnestly comforted Ethan, "His brain is like a computer! Compared to Charles, you are the most talented!"
Ethan's ears immediately turned red. He suggested, "It's almost lunchtime; why don't you do a set of exercises?"
Chicago was silent.
"Look, Jessie found her doghouse!" Then, it seemed that she hadn't heard Ethan's words; she happily changed the subject, pointing to Jessie not far away, and then ran over.
Jessie's doghouse was very artistic.
At first glance, it looked like a rockery.
While everyone was looking at their rooms, Jessie had quietly found her way and comfortably lay down inside.
The children ran over one after another.
Fiona glanced at Charles.
He seemed to be engrossed, oblivious to everything outside.
He was lost in the ocean of knowledge.
"You know, they were conceived and born together. Why are the two children so different?" Fiona asked.
One was like a little monkey, and the other was always so quiet and focused.
"They're both wonderful." Darwin embraced Fiona.
Then Darwin looked up and saw Chicago crawling into the doghouse.
"Sweetheart, you can't do that!" Darwin quickly stopped her.
Chicago, very reluctantly, crawled out of the doghouse and said to Darwin, "Dad, the doghouse Mrs. Walker prepared for Jessie is so big. Jessie can lie down in it, and there is even space for me!"
