Chapter 682 The Punishment For His Foul Mouth.

After Fiona arrived, she went straight to Darwin's office.

As soon as Fiona sat down in Darwin's chair, she noticed the photo on the table showing a family of four under dazzling fireworks.

Fiona felt a sharp pain in her chest as she looked at it.

In the past, Darwin wouldn't allow anyone to place personal items in the workspace, let alone display them so openly in the office area.

"Secretary Woods." Henry gently knocked on the office door.

Fiona snapped out of her thoughts.

Fiona immediately composed herself and said, "Come in."

Henry handed over the prepared materials to Fiona.

"The people are all here. We can start the meeting anytime," Henry said.

Fiona lowered her eyelids and flipped through the documents in her hands.

These were the operating conditions of Solomon and its departments from the previous year, which will be discussed in today's meeting.

Fiona had already familiarized herself with them a few days ago.

"No rush," Fiona calmly said.

She couldn't follow the pace of some people and fall into their comfort zone, or else how could she be comfortable?

"Yes."

Henry naturally obeyed Fiona's words.

After responding, Henry walked out directly.

In the meeting room.

The people who had been chatting and laughing together quickly started checking the time frequently.

"Hasn't Fiona arrived early? Why isn't she here to start the meeting?" a skinny man with a pointy face couldn't help but ask after checking his watch several times.

Another man who was obviously his companion echoed, "Exactly, Fiona is being rude, leaving all these shareholders waiting. Mr. Solomon never did this when he was alive!"

"Tristan Knightley, is there something wrong with your big mouth? Who told you Mr. Solomon is dead?" a shareholder from Darwin immediately pointed at Tristan's nose and started scolding.

Tristan's face stiffened for a moment. "This is something everyone knows. I don't want anything to happen to Mr. Solomon, but it is a fact, and there's nothing anyone can do!"

The skinny man from earlier immediately pulled Tristan back and then looked at the angry shareholder. "Caleb Winters, Tristan is also worried for our company. It's already the new year, and we all want to know how the company will be arranged."

"In the past, Mr. Solomon didn't let you worry about these things, and now even more so!" Caleb sneered. "Besides, what do you think of Secretary Woods? Not to mention her Monsoon Investment. You were still a nobody When she showed her skills in Solomon and the Rhoads family!"

"Caleb and Chelsea were impressive. She was the heiress of the Rhoads family, and there was no way Solomon would end up well in her hands. She would eventually change the last name to Rhoads!" Tristan said sarcastically, "Of course, once Chelsea remarries, we don't know her last name."

"This director seems quite concerned. You even consider my remarriage?" Fiona's cold voice came from the conference room door.

The previously noisy conference room instantly fell into an eerie silence.

Fiona calmly walked in with her entourage and approached Tristan.

Tristan never expected that the person in question would overhear his careless words.

Tristan awkwardly smiled. "Secretary Woods."

A crisp slap resounded through the conference room.

Tristan covered his cheek, unable to believe that Fiona had hit him. "You..."

Fiona took a disinfectant wipe from Laura's hand and wiped her hands. "Consider this slap a personal grudge. If you continue with your foul mouth, I guarantee you that there won't be just one slap waiting for you."

She paused.

Fiona's gaze turned icy as she looked at him. "Did you understand?"

Tristan was infuriated but still tried to restrain himself. The flesh on his cheeks trembled with the effort.

"I understand."

"Mr. Solomon is only temporarily recuperating from his injury. He's doing fine. If I hear anyone spreading rumors again, don't blame me for disregarding everyone's contributions to Solomon."

After speaking, Fiona paused for a moment.

Her cold gaze remained on him. "Do you understand?"

Tristan was furious. The other members of the meeting tried to appease him with their gazes.

However, their emotions soon reached their limit.

Just as Fiona settled into the CEO position at the top, the thin man received a screenshot of two trending topics on Facebook.

"Fiona declares that Solomon and Solomons will never merge."

The man's face immediately turned dark.

Their plan today was to attack Fiona by this very issue.

As soon as Fiona took her seat, she immediately noticed a group of people whispering to each other.

Fiona's eyes were filled with coldness.

"Are all of you ready? Can the meeting begin?" Fiona looked toward that small group of people.

The thin man leading the pack was named Leonardo Ashwood.

He was the leader of the group that would be targeting her today.

This Leonardo also had some background, as his uncle had once had dealings with Fiona.

That uncle was Newton.

Leonardo joined Solomon in the years after Fiona left, allegedly due to Newton's introduction. However, compared to his uncle Newton, Leonardo was far inferior. The crowd quickly took their seats in their respective positions. Laura distributed the company's overall development report to the major shareholders from the previous year. But not many people paid serious attention to its contents. Everyone was just going through the motions.

"Fiona, before the meeting begins, I think you should carefully explain Mr. Solomon's current situation. It would be best for our representatives to meet with Mr. Solomon," Leonardo said with a gentle smile. "As you know, there are too many rumors outside right now. We didn't have a peaceful Christmas and are genuinely worried."

"Mr. Solomon needs absolute rest now. You don't need to visit him. Instead of having such concerns, Leonardo, it would be better for you to focus more on your projects," Fiona said without any mercy. "The project you took on last year resulted in a 47% loss, making it the bottom performer within the whole Solomon group and dragging down the overall profitability of Solomon."

Leonardo's face turned stiff.

"Fiona, as I said before, you are the heir of the Rhoads family. Even if you are Mr. Solomon's wife, you shouldn't be in control of Solomon, right?" Tristan said in a deep voice. "Even if you have such plans, you should consult with the shareholders first, shouldn't you? When Mr. Solomon was present, he highly respected our shareholders' meetings!"

"Yeah, without saying anything, someone who is not even a Solomon employee directly takes the position of CEO. Fiona, it seems like you don't understand Solomon at all, right?"

"I have to say something too. The Rhoads family has been acquiring countless small and large enterprises for decades. Solomon is the life's work of Mr. Solomon. I've been with Solomon since its inception. Solomon is like a child I've watched grow up. Solomon could have had better and more prosperous development. I absolutely won't allow the Rhoads family to acquire Solomon!" "
