Chapter 686 Robert Is The Most Obedient!

Fiona lowered her eyelids slightly. She softly said, "Thank you."

"Alright, I know you must be busy now so I won't bother you."

"Okay, after this busy period, I'll invite you for tea."

"I'll be waiting."

The call ended, and Fiona completely lost any desire to sleep. She went to the bathroom and washed her face. Her complexion had been poor lately, and her lips lacked color. She touched up her makeup and left the lounge directly.

As Fiona walked out, she happened to run into Christopher coming in.

"Madam, Robert's parents are still waiting for you."

Christopher was almost driven crazy by this couple.

He called all day, saying that the madam was busy, but the couple refused to believe.

"Then arrange for them to go to the funeral parlor after work," Fiona coldly replied.

"Yes!"

Christopher agreed and quickly backed out.

Laura brewed a cup of tea. "Chelsea, I don't see anything else going on here. Maybe you should do something else for now so you can rest early after you're done."

Laura really wanted to say that Fiona didn't look well.

She was very worried about her health.

"After I finish looking at these," Fiona looked reassuringly up at her and gave Laura a look. "Don't worry, I'm fine physically. I just haven't slept well lately, so I look tired."

"Okay." Laura nodded.

Laura was by her side, assisting Fiona in reviewing contracts and documents.

6 o'clock.

After finishing her day at Solomon, Fiona went straight to the funeral parlor.

On the way, the festive atmosphere of the New Year had not yet dissipated, and Christmas carols were still playing on the street.

Fiona looked at the street coldly.

Driving the car, Christopher glanced at Fiona through the rearview mirror and said, "Madam, Miss Annie mentioned yesterday that she wants to see you again."

Fiona lazily responded, "Why do all these killers want to see me?"

"Are you planning to see Annie? If not, I will stop answering her calls from now on."

Fiona pondered for a moment before speaking, "Let's talk about seeing Annie later."

"Alright!"

It took over an hour for the car to arrive at the funeral home where Robert's body was being kept.

Recently, Fiona had been smelling a fishy odor and feeling uncomfortable.

This funeral home was close to the sea.

Fiona could smell the unpleasant odor as soon as the strong wind blew.

As soon as Fiona got out of the car, she saw a group of people not far away.

The couple at the front looked elegant and distinguished, but their faces were a bit pale.

"Fiona, we deeply regret this unfortunate event!" Robert's mother, upon seeing Fiona, immediately showed a face full of regret and sadness, opening her arms to embrace Fiona.

Christopher stepped forward and directly blocked them.

"What are you doing?" Robert's father immediately frowned. This bodyguard had been making things difficult for them, delaying Fiona's meeting with them and delaying their retrieval of Robert's body, leaving Robert in the cold storage for so long.

"We Armie people are reasonable." Christopher paused for a moment. "Besides, your son was a prolific killer. Who knows if it was inherited from one of you, or maybe Robert inherited it from both of you. If you hurt our lady anymore, it would be unforgivable."

"You!" Both Robert's parents were irritated.

But in front of Fiona, they didn't dare to burst out.

"Fiona, you have attended dinners at our house before. You should know our character. We can be considered as friends. Your bodyguard is too much, humiliating people!" Robert's mother shouted loudly.

Fiona looked at Robert's mother.

"I thought since Robert killed someone, you shouldn't be so self-righteous. But now that I'm here, you still act as if you're superior?" Fiona didn't give them any face. "Parents of a murderer?"

Fiona called them by this name.

Robert's father's beard tilted in anger.

"Since you don't want to talk to us properly, it's fine. Give us Robert's body, and we will leave immediately and not bother you anymore!" Robert's mother said in a deep voice.

From them, Fiona truly saw no trace of guilt toward the victim's family.

They used to feel superior, but Fiona wouldn't indulge them. "He has done terrible things, and you want to take him away? Before you do that, you should see if I agree or not," Fiona sneered.

"What do you mean Robert has done terrible things? Robert is the most obedient, and it is obvious that Hathaway's sister Annie is the mastermind! My son was also deceived and harmed!"

"Your son is dead, but Annie is still alive. Are you sure she will let you blame it all on her?" Fiona sneered.

She was not sure when Annie had joined Robert. But what she was sure of was that Robert was the one behind this, and even when he brought Annie into the picture, she was one of his targets to be hunted down.

"Of course, she won't admit it!" Robert's mother immediately responded.

"Then guess, does Annie have any evidence to prove that Robert is the mastermind?" Fiona continued to ask.

Robert's mother's face froze.

"Enough with these hypocritical words. Do you want to talk to me? I assume you don't want to talk if you continue with this superior attitude. And if you don't want to talk, your son will remain frozen." Saying that Fiona was about to leave.

Seeing Fiona leaving, Robert's parents panicked. The body was not their only concern. What they worried about even more was their company being emptied. Anyone with clear eyes could see who was manipulating it behind the scenes.

"Let's talk! We have been waiting for you for so long, just to talk to you when you have time," Robert's father gritted his teeth and said, "Tell us, how much do you need to release our son?"

Fiona looked at the chubby man in front of her, but she saw Robert's crazed smile that day. It was truly disgusting. "I want all of your business in the Armie region," Fiona said without hesitation. "What? All of our business? Are you a robber?" Robert's father was shocked.

Although the Astralis family didn't succeed in the Armie market, giving up the Armie market was absolutely impossible for them! They wouldn’t give up on even any profit easily.

"Do I look like someone who is negotiating with you?" Fiona ignored the couple's astonishment and coldly said, "You have three days to get it done. If you succeed, take Robert and leave. If you fail, I will throw him into the ocean to feed the sharks. As for the short-selling case against the Astralis family, more short-selling companies will join, and you can wait and see." "
