Chapter 940

Chicago leaned against the bed, engrossed in watching the baby girl. Even the delicious food couldn't take her eyes off the baby.

"Alright, Thalassa. You can't keep holding her like this, or your arms will get sore soon." Scarlet came over, smiling as she took her precious granddaughter in her arms. "Let Mommy rest properly. Grandma will play with you!"

As the baby was taken away, Chicago also followed over.

"What's wrong?" Thalassa looked at Fiona after the child was taken away.

She could read Fiona's expression very well. Even if others couldn't find anything wrong, Thalassa could still sense something amiss.

Fiona glanced outside only to find Stella was playing cards with Burl and Janna.

"It's about Wyatt," Fiona said.

"Is it about Wyatt seeking revenge for Stella?" Thalassa lowered her voice.

Fiona nodded. "Wyatt doesn't even plan to let go of Oliver and the others who grew up together. He's relentless!"

"Isn't that good? They deserve it. After all, they've all bullied Stella!" Thalassa huffed.

"Oliver and the others, although not wealthy, have some connections anyway. I'm worried that if they are pushed too far, they might turn on Wyatt and even vent their anger on Stella."

"Right!" Thalassa immediately frowned. "What should we do? That scoundrel Wyatt is still causing trouble for Stella even after he broke up with Stella and she already got married!"

"I'll go back to Bay City for a while." Fiona looked at Thalassa. "Two days, I'll be back in two days at most!"

Thalassa's expression changed immediately. But she nodded in the end. "You don't need to rush. I have plenty of people to take care of me at the postnatal care center. Take your time, sort things out, and then come back!"

She understood that Fiona had always been very grateful to Wyatt for saving Charles and Chicago back then.

And this was also about Stella. It was unlikely that Fiona would just ignore this matter.

Fiona nodded.

"What about Darwin? Is he going back with you?" Thalassa asked.

"No, Charles and Chicago need someone by their side, and I'll be reassured if he stays here with you guys." Fiona shook her head.

"All right, when do you plan to go?"

"I'll leave once you're settled at the postnatal care center."

After discussing with Thalassa, Fiona informed Darwin of her decision.

Since being rescued from the island, Darwin had been with Fiona day and night.

Suddenly, they had to be apart for a few days. This made Darwin visibly anxious.

"Can't I go with you?" he asked.

"What about your son and daughter?" Fiona countered.

Darwin's brows furrowed deeply.

"Be good; I'll be back in just two days." Fiona circled Darwin's waist, looking up at him, who was giving a puppy-dog look. "Darwin, now that you're so clingy, what will you do when you start working later?"

"At least we used to see each other every day, and we were together at night," Darwin said softly.

"Not every day; you used to go on a business trip often before!" Fiona spoke gently.

"Wyatt said that whenever I traveled before, I always took you with me," Darwin replied.

Fiona's eyes flickered slightly.

Darwin had indeed taken her everywhere before except for two times. One was when Darwin went to Europe to accompany Lilian for half a month. The other was when Darwin went to negotiate the alliance with the Ross family for half a month.
