Chapter 1363

"I..." Rose stammered, caught off guard by Charlotte's intense stare. She had no clue Fiona had such a big kid.

Charlotte's gaze made Rose feel a bit uneasy. "Charlotte, this is Mommy's guest, Rose!" Chicago quickly explained, turning around to address the situation.

Charlotte kept her eyes on Rose, then gave a nod. "Hi, Rose."

Rose tried her best to smile warmly. "Hi."

Charlotte nodded again.

Instead of taking the elevator, she headed for the stairs and swiftly reached the front door.

This year, Charlotte had been especially well-nourished.

Fiona made sure she got tested every six months, supplementing whatever her body needed.

Charlotte didn't gain weight but shot up in height.

Christopher measured her; she was almost 5'3".

Charlotte had great proportions.

Rose was stunned watching Charlotte move so quickly.

"Ms. Everhart, my daughter has been practicing parkour lately, which is why she's so fast," Christopher said, coming up behind her.

"Parkour?" Rose was surprised.

Meanwhile, Chicago jogged into the elevator.

"Mommy, you need to tell Uncle Christopher not to pick out clothes for Charlotte, not to cut her hair, and not to trim her nails!" Chicago started chattering, as if she just remembered something.

"Why?" Fiona asked, puzzled.

"Uncle Christopher picks out the ugliest clothes! I've never even seen those colors before!" Chicago said, as if describing a nightmare. "And the hair, if Charlotte hadn't fixed it herself, she wouldn't be presentable!"

Fiona laughed. "Then you can talk to Uncle Christopher yourself later. I won't get involved."

"Alright." Chicago let go of Fiona's hand.

She crossed her arms like an adult.

Charles stood next to Fiona, deep in thought.

Fiona thought he was pondering some algorithm.

But in reality, Charles was thinking, 'Did Charlotte ever wear any super ugly clothes? No, they all looked good.'

They reached the living room.

At the door to greet them was the adorable Melissa.

Wearing a cute new outfit, she lit up with a smile when Ashton picked her up.

Fiona saw this heartwarming scene as soon as she stepped out.

She called out, "Melissa!"

Chicago twisted her body, shouting that she missed Melissa, and immediately ran out.

But Fiona, with her long legs, got there first and scooped up the giggling Melissa.

"Mommy, let me kiss Melissa! Let me kiss her!" Chicago tugged at Fiona's coat, pleading.

Fiona couldn't stop laughing.

She handed Melissa back to Ashton.

"I'll go change my clothes first," she said, suddenly remembering she had brought someone along. "Oh, right, Rose."

Rose stepped forward, her face showing a restrained smile.

Fiona said, "Ashton, this is Rose. I mentioned her to you. She doesn't have many friends back home and was quite lonely during New Year's, so I brought her along."

Rose had seen Ashton's photos in the news.

In person, she looked even better than in photos and videos. Even though Ashton was a mom, she still looked very sweet, with no signs of post-pregnancy fatigue on her face.
