Chapter 749 Finally Reunited

Fiona had been away for a while. Chicago was busy with school and taking care of the garden and orchard at home. Recently, Stuart discovered frog eggs in the pond. This added another task to Chicago's daily routine - documenting the changes in the frog eggs. After school, Chicago would take her camera and capture various moments of the developing eggs. Despite her busy schedule, Chicago would always find time to think about her parents, especially since Fiona's injury.

Video calls were no longer an option, so Chicago's longing for her mother had grown. Every day, she counted the moments until they could be reunited. When Chicago saw Fiona, she didn't hesitate and ran into her arms, tears streaming down her face.

Fiona, with a smile, lifted her up and said, "You're a big girl now, why are you still crying?"

Chicago, holding onto Fiona, replied, "Even big girls miss their moms."

Fiona gently patted her back. "I miss you and your brother too."

Chicago noticed a scar on Fiona's eyelid, a reminder of her recent injury. Concerned, Chicago asked about it, and Fiona assured her that it was healing. Charles, observing the interaction, reminded Chicago to be gentle, as Fiona was still recovering.

Fiona then shared the news that their father had returned, though he had lost his memory due to the ordeal. Chicago and Charles were stunned but overjoyed. Fiona reassured them that their father was upstairs and they could see him soon.
