Chapter 1305

Wyatt noticed Fiona seemed off, so he quickly put down his glass and asked, "What's up?"

"Did he say anything else to you?" Fiona asked, looking at Wyatt. "After that day, did he mention anything about Aiden or that secret?"

Wyatt thought for a moment, then shook his head. "Nope, he didn't say a word. After that day, Aiden became a no-go topic here in Darwin."

Fiona's hand clenched into a tight fist.

Suddenly, a strong sense of hatred welled up inside her, but she didn't know exactly who to hate.

Brooke was already dead.

"What exactly happened?" Wyatt's expression grew more serious. "Where's Darwin? I heard he hasn't been to the Solomon group for a long time, and now you're running the group!"

"Darwin is sick," Fiona's voice was thick with exhaustion. "The same illness as Aiden."

Wyatt was slightly taken aback, then his eyes filled with disbelief.

"How is that possible?" He was stunned.

"It's a defect carried over from the Mitchell family's genes," Fiona said, lowering her eyes in despair. "Probably from the day you mentioned, Darwin's mental state started to deteriorate, but it only began to show now."

"Where is he now? Can I see him?"

"Maybe later." Fiona downed a glass of wine in one gulp. "He probably doesn't want to be seen by you all right now."

Wyatt fell silent.

Darwin, such a proud person, suffering from that kind of illness. The treatment process aside, just taking those nerve-suppressing medications would make him look incredibly disheveled.

Wyatt added, "I heard there would also be physical therapy. I saw in a documentary that those physical therapies are really terrifying."

The so-called physical therapy usually involved electric shocks.

Fiona didn't respond to that.

Wyatt also fell into silence. He never expected that the reason he didn't see Darwin this time was because of this.

Soon, the two tacitly changed the subject.

"What do you plan to do next? I don't think Lucian is the type to let things go easily. He hates you all, and he might choose to go down with you in the end," Fiona said.

Wyatt sneered, "He won't. He doesn't have the capability."

"As long as you have a plan." Fiona nodded.

"Don't worry." Wyatt poured Fiona another half glass. "I've known since I was eighteen that Lucian is not a good person. So I've been keeping an eye on him all these years. He thinks no one knows what he's done, but it's all within my grasp."

"Then I'll wish you success in advance." Fiona raised her glass.

Wyatt lightly clinked his glass with hers. "Fiona, the Beaumont family may have a high status, but life is full of ups and downs. If Stella ever has any difficulties, remember to tell me."

"How did you manage to circle back to this topic after all that?" Fiona said helplessly.

"This is my only concern now. Just consider it as helping me out," Wyatt said with a bitter smile. Fiona nodded. "How's your mother doing these days?"

"Just as I said." Wyatt stretched his neck.

"The Rhoads group and the Solomon group have many good doctors. If you need anything, just let me know," Fiona said.

Wyatt moved his lips.

He wanted to ask if Alexander had instructed anything, but in the end, he didn't ask.

He said, "Tell me about your secretary. What's going on? She seemed quite unhappy with you all morning."

Fiona replied, "She's Aiden's fiancée's sister's daughter."

Wyatt was very puzzled.

Fiona added, "She was raised by Grandma Mitchell. She used to work with Darwin's current attending physician. I thought she was not suitable to stay around Darwin, so I forcibly brought her back to the States."

"Wait!" Wyatt leaned closer to Fiona. "There's a rumor, I don't know if you've heard it, that Aiden's fiancée was killed by him. Is that true?"

Back then, the incident wasn't without any leaks.
