Chapter 947

Unlike his usual arrogant self, Oliver appeared quite gloomy with dark circles.

He waved his hand in frustration. "Don't mock me. Wyatt has really driven me to the wall. My wife even threatened to divorce me last night."

Walking alongside Oliver, Fiona remarked, "Oliver, have you ever considered that Stella might have been put in a corner by your bullying as well?"

Oliver was stunned for a moment.

"Anyway, weren't we all doing it for Wyatt?" Oliver muttered.

Fiona pointed out the truth without mercy. "You know whether you were doing that for Wyatt. It's just that you simply looked down on women like me and Stella."

They both had no prestigious backgrounds and needed to cling to men like parasites.

Oliver said, "Fiona..."

Fiona said, "I suggest that even if you still harbor resentment towards Stella, if you want Wyatt to stop, you better hold it in and not let him notice, or else... no one can save you."

"I understand!" Oliver immediately responded.

Moments later, inside a private room, Fiona met Emily.

Actually, Fiona had dealt with Emily before.

Emily, a moderately popular blogger online, often shared her lavish lifestyle on Facebook.

Previously, in a topic list involving Fiona and Darwin, Emily had posted a photo that had gone viral on the internet.

"Ms. Woods, I've heard a lot about you. It's a pleasure to meet you finally!" Emily stood up promptly, smiling warmly at Fiona.

However, even her exquisite makeup couldn't conceal her weariness.

"Help yourselves. Let's chat while we eat," Fiona said gently.

After Wyatt sat down, Oliver's daughter, Isabella, who was chubby with curly hair, wobbled over to Wyatt.

Looking up at Wyatt, Isabella said, "Huggie!"

Her speech was still a bit clumsy but incredibly cute.

Wyatt's fingertips trembled slightly, but he didn't move.

Oliver and his wife exchanged glances. As Emily was about to take Isabella back, Wyatt reached out, picked her up, and remarked, "Isabella, you've gained some weight!"

"That's not true! I'm the skinniest!" Isabella immediately retorted.

Wyatt chuckled, which was quite rare. He then placed Isabella on his lap, and she turned towards the table, reaching for the snacks the waiter had left.

"Mr. Durham, Isabella keeps asking at home why you haven't come to play recently. She always wants to video chat with you," Emily said with a smile.

Wyatt, without looking up, pinched Isabella's chubby arm. "Oliver, do you know what you have done wrong?"

Oliver tensed abruptly. His hand under the table clenched into a fist instantly.

Oliver had always been beneath Wyatt in social status, but Wyatt never showed off in front of his friends.

Now, Wyatt was unabashedly exerting pressure on him as a superior.

"In the past, I misunderstood Stella. I was afraid she might hurt you, unaware of the hardships she faced. So, I was a bit mean to her. When I learned the truth, I began to regret it..." Oliver said.

"You're lying." Wyatt suddenly looked at Oliver, who seemed distressed.

With seemingly little effort, Wyatt made Oliver feel as if he had been struck.

"I didn't..." Oliver said.
