Chapter 872

Stella and Mason were unaware that, from an upstairs window across the street, Liam supported Father Thomas and witnessed the whole process of the two people secretly eating ice cream.

"Father Thomas, Stella is Alexander's wife." Liam frowned. "She's been volunteering at the pavilion, but she's clumsy and broke four plates. Now, she secretly brought Mason to eat ice creams! It's outrageous! I'll talk to Alexander about this!"

Father Thomas chuckled briefly and mysteriously.

"Never mind, the fruit pile in the pavilion these days is as high as a small mountain, enough to replace a few plates," Father Thomas waved his hand and said, "Ask Mason to move those boxes of Bibles out to air them."

"Yes." Liam listened to Father Thomas very well. He immediately agreed.

Father Thomas's gaze followed the direction Stella had gone.

The towering tree in the center of the church, with its lush summer foliage, seemed to block out the sun.

After retracting his gaze, Father Thomas became even more silent. He turned and, with a slight tremor, made his way toward the stairs.

Stella was unaware of Liam's disdain for her.

She found Alexander, who was being pulled aside for a chat.

When Alexander saw Stella, he gestured to the other person and walked toward her.

"What were you playing with Mason? So happy?" Alexander tidied up her hair, noticing a dry twig stuck in it.

Stella sweetly said with a smile. "I'm not happy playing with Mason. I'm happy to see you!"

Alexander's eyes curved with a smile. He asked, "Did you sneak ice creams?"

Stella was astonished. She touched her lips, which were no longer cold.

"How did you figure it out?" She didn't lie or deny, fidget with her fingers and mumbled.

Alexander pointed at her nose tip and said, "There's pigment on your nose tip."

Cheap ice creams had food coloring.

Stella touched her nose tip and grumbled, "Mason didn't even remind me! I'll tell Liam later!"

Alexander laughed and said, "Let Mason off this time. Don't let it become a habit."

"Okay!" Stella wanted to link arms with Alexander as she spoke but then remembered they were in a church, so she withdrew her hand.

Alexander caught her subtle emotions.

Alexander took her hand initiative and said, "Mrs. Solomon and the others are leaving for North Alabama tomorrow. Shall we go too?"

"It's okay. We don't need to arrive at the same time. We can stay for a few more days!" Stella hurriedly said.

One more day meant one more chance to run into Father Thomas!

"Father Thomas is living a reclusive life now, so chance encounters are unlikely." Alexander gently pierced Stella's thoughts. "It's okay. Didn't we agree to visit often in the future?"

"Okay." Stella sighed softly.

She added, "Since we're leaving, what else can I do?"

Stella was referring to her plan to bring a truckload of watermelons.

Liam was dumbfounded.

"Liam, the weather will be very hot soon. Watermelons are perfect for cooling off!" Stella said seriously to Liam, "Alexander and I are leaving tomorrow. We've caused you a lot of trouble these days. Consider this our apology!"

"Are you leaving tomorrow?" Liam was slightly stunned.

"Yes, my good friend is about to have a baby soon. We promised to be there for her," Stella replied, then took out a piece of paper with her and Alexander's contact information written on it. "Liam, here is our contact information. If Father Thomas ever misses Alexander, just let us know. No matter where we are, we will come here immediately!"
