Chapter 1027

"Mom." Anna strode up to Scarlet.

Scarlet looked up, her expression weary. "Didn't I tell you not to come over?"

"I was worried," Anna replied, "Did you have dinner?"

"No." Scarlet waved her hand dismissively.

Fiona suddenly spoke up, "Anna, how's the security on your side?"

"With such a major incident, Samuel immediately sent people over. Don't worry, everything's fine," Anna answered.

Scarlet's anger flared even more. "I must catch this murderer who dares to make the Walker family live in fear!"

Fiona remained silent.

However, Anna looked at her.

Their eyes met as if they could communicate without words.

"Mom, you and Dad still need to eat something. Fiona and I will go to the police to see if there's any useful information," Anna said gently, "You need to eat something; you have to visit Thalassa and Nora tomorrow. If they notice something's wrong, they'll definitely worry."

Scarlet's expression softened, and she nodded. "I understand."

Then, Anna and Fiona left Scarlet.

Not long after they walked out, Anna directly asked Fiona, "Fiona, do you have any suspects?"

Seeing Anna's straightforwardness, Fiona decided to be direct as well. "Do you have any news about Abigail?"

Although Fiona had only met Abigail twice, she thought Abigail only appeared to be foolish on the surface. After she disappeared, Fiona was worried she might seek revenge on Thalassa, but she hadn't specifically sent anyone to look for her.

"No." Anna shook her head. "Since her fraud was exposed, she suddenly vanished. Her bank cards and passport haven't been used anywhere."

Pausing, she asked, "Do you suspect her?"

"Previously, I thought Abigail was a fool. But can a complete fool hide for over a month under so many people's watch without being discovered?" Fiona pursed her lips. "Arnold was of medium build. If the murderer were a man, he probably wouldn't need to drug Arnold first and then throw him into the lake."

"So, the murderer is likely a woman," Anna said gravely, glancing around instinctively.

At night, the delicate lamps behind the Walker House shone in the darkness.

Could it really be Abigail?

Fiona and Anna soon arrived near the scene.

Roy, who was handling the case, knew Anna.

"Mrs. Walker." she quickly approached. "The coroner has just conducted a preliminary examination of the body and confirmed it was a homicide. The investigation might get complicated."

"Roy, the Walker family will fully cooperate with your investigation," Anna replied, "But this matter needs to be handled discreetly. You know, our family have had a baby girl, and we are hosting many international guests. We don't want to make a big scene."

"I understand." Officer Roy nodded. "I just heard from my colleague that the surveillance cameras near the scene that night weren't on, right?"

"Yes." Anna frowned instinctively. "We've already called back all the security personnel on duty that night. We're still missing two people."

"Can't you reach them?" Roy asked.

"Yes, but they live nearby. We've sent people to find them," as soon as Anna finished speaking, Otis came running over in a hurry.

"Mrs. Walker! Something's happened!" Otis's uniform shirt was soaked through, and his face was as pale as if he'd seen a ghost.

Fiona's eyes darkened, guessing what had happened.

The two missing security guards were also dead.

When Otis's people reached their residence, no one answered the door despite repeated knocking.
