Chapter 965
"Baby, do you think I was meddling too much in naming the baby? Thalassa's biological grandmother didn't even get involved," Janna asked hesitantly, holding Fiona's hand.
Over the years, Janna had changed a lot. In the past, she wouldn't have cared what anyone thought; her word was final.
"She is busy making food for Thalassa, she doesn't have the time." Fiona patted the back of Janna's hand. "Besides, everyone can see that you care about Nora, so don't overthink it."
Janna recalled the time after Fiona had passed the critical period of childbirth. Everyone sat by her hospital bed, discussing the baby's name. Charles and Chicago's names were quickly decided. Suddenly, Thalassa suggested, "Then my baby's nickname will be Nora." Everyone thought it was a joke at the time. Yet, several years later, they really did use the name Nora.
"It's quite interesting," Fiona said with a smile.
"Alright. Thalassa has missed you these past two days. Go back and talk to her. The car to pick me up is downstairs," Janna said.
At the elevator, Fiona hugged Janna. "Let me know when you arrive."
Janna said, "Okay, hurry back."
Fiona watched the elevator doors close and descended before turning to walk back.
Coincidentally, Christopher, having finished questioning his subordinates, was also looking for Fiona to report.
"Everything is calm," Christopher said briefly. "No suspicious people or strange items."
Fiona’s eye softened slightly.
"Maybe I'm overthinking it," she said, half-closing her eyes. "But keep your guard up until we return to the Bay City."
"I understand!" Christopher nodded. Then Fiona went straight to Thalassa's room.
"Fiona, I knew you'd come back and settle everything. Nora is awake; hold her!" Thalassa said, supporting Kenny as they walked. Seeing Fiona return, Thalassa immediately signaled the postpartum nurse to hand Nora to Fiona.
Nora's eyes were bright and curious. As Fiona held her, she stared at Fiona and then softly nestled against her shoulder.
"Look, Nora really likes you!" Thalassa exclaimed.
Fiona gently patted the baby's soft back. "Calm down!"
Thalassa chuckled and glanced at Kenny before asking Fiona. "Isn't Nora especially sweet and soft?"
Fiona understood Thalassa's intention. "She's very sweet and soft. I don't even want to let go. How about you stay here for postpartum care, and I'll take Nora back with me?" Fiona played along.
"No way! Kenny, don't you want to feel how sweet and soft the baby is?" Thalassa asked, her eyes sparkling.
Kenny glanced at his daughter. "Maybe next time."
Thalassa was a bit disappointed but didn't push Kenny.
After Fiona held Nora for a while, the postpartum nurse took Nora to feed.
