Chapter 1184

Fiona handed Mike an address.

Mike quickly changed and dashed out the door.

Soon enough, he met up with Fiona.

"Chelsea!" Mike blurted out.

"What's up?" Fiona frowned. "I just asked you to check on a kid. Why are you so freaked out?"

Mike was out of breath. "I didn't find the kid," he said seriously.

He'd been struggling for days. Fiona had told him to come back if it got too tough, but Mike didn't want to give up. So, he tried different ways to investigate.

Seeing all the cars on the street, he had an idea. No surveillance cameras, but what about dashcams?

Using the spot where Darwin hit someone as a starting point, and knowing Darwin fell into the water, he quickly zeroed in on a few areas.

After two days of searching, he found some cars. Mike spent his own money to buy the dashcam footage. Unsure of what he'd find, he watched them himself.

He found some shocking clips.

In the car, Fiona's face went pale as she watched the three edited clips Mike had put together. She watched them over and over.

Mike couldn't hold back. "Chelsea," he said.

Fiona's hand froze. "Who else has seen this?" she asked, her eyes bloodshot.

"I thought Darwin was cheating, so I was extra cautious. I found these clips myself. Besides you and me, no one else has seen them," Mike replied.

Fiona gripped her phone tightly, closed her eyes in pain, and leaned back. "He said he'd pick up the boy at noon and have lunch with me," she said, her voice trembling.

Mike wanted to say something but couldn't.

"Thanks for your hard work," Fiona handed the phone back. "Keep this confidential until I confirm the results. Don't tell anyone, including my grandma."

"I understand!" Mike said, looking worried. "Chelsea, you don't look well."

Fiona gave a bleak smile. "Darwin is my husband," she said, choking back sobs.

Mike frowned deeply.

Just then, Fiona's phone lit up with Darwin's name. Mike tensed up, instinctively looking outside, wondering if they were exposed.

Fiona stayed calm. She answered the phone, her tone normal. "I just finished up. Did you pick him up?"

"Xavier picked him up," Darwin replied. "Shall we meet at the restaurant?"

"Okay," Fiona responded.

"Why do you sound tired?" Darwin asked. "Is something difficult at Monsoon Investment?"

Fiona choked up. In front of her were images that would haunt her dreams for a long time.
