Chapter 827 Too Bullying
"You won't throw it away." Wyatt said firmly, then he looked at Stella imploringly, "Give it to me, please?"
Stella lowered her eyelids and said resolutely, "Since I'm getting married, of course, I've thrown away anything related to you!"
Wyatt would have his own wife. What's the point of always keeping things from an ex?
It would be unfair to that girl.
"Stella!!"
Just then, an angry shoud came.
Wyatt’s body stiffened, and he immediately turned around to look.
Several elders of the Durham family had arrived.
Ms. Durham’s face was pale, and her once elegant hair was now disheveled.
Ms. Durham rushed over.
Before anyone could react, Ms. Durham raised her hand and gave Stella a loud slap.
"Mom!!"
"Stella!!"
The glass door on the other side was pushed open.
Alexander, Fiona, Darwin, and Preston hurried over.
"Mom, what are you doing!" Wyatt grabbed Ms. Durham's hand, standing in front of Stella.
"What am I doing? I should be asking you what you're doing? Haven’t I told you, this is all her scheme!!!" Ms. Durham roared, "She's using this method to force you to marry her!"
"Stella, are you okay?" Alexander anxiously held Stella's cheeks.
Seeing her swollen face, he felt both heartache and anger.
"I'm fine." Stella held Alexander's hand and pulled it down.
"Wyatt, step aside." Stella then said to Wyatt.
"Stella..."
"Step aside." Stella's tone turned cold.
Wyatt reluctantly let go of his mother's hand and stepped aside.
Ms. Durham looked at Stella with hatred and was about to insult her, when Stella raised her hand and slapped her hard in the face.
In that moment, silence fell over the room.
Before anyone could react, Stella, shaking her sore wrist from the force, said, "This is for the two slaps you’ve given me and the insults to my mother. Considering your age and your heart condition, I’m only returning one."
"Stella!!!" Ms. Durham screamed.
Other members of the Durham family also reacted, each angrily wanting to rush forward and confront Stella.
"What do you think this place is?" Alexander stood in front of Stella, his gaze coldly sweeping over everyone, "Have your lives in the Durham family been too comfortable? Despite my repeated warnings, you still dare to insult my wife?!"
"If the Durham family wants to break ties with the Beaumont family, say it now! We'll see it to the end!" Preston was fumed.
"Have the Beaumont family lost their minds? Do none of you care about Stella’s scandals? Aren’t you afraid of being a laughingstock?" Wyatt’s father yelled. "You just saw her hit an elder in public!"
"An elder?" Alexander sneered, "Who do you think you are to be considered her elder?"
"Exactly. And besides, it was your Ms. Durham who hit my aunt first! My aunt only retaliated, and that’s very restrained!" Preston added.
Stella stood behind Alexander.
Although her face hurt, a smile played on her lips.
When Wyatt's mother came to the house and hit her, Stella tried to reason with her.
But then Ms. Durham started insulting her late mother.
Stella's mother passed away relatively early.
But she was good to Stella during her lifetime.
Stella couldn't bear her mother being insulted, so she spoke up.
Just then, Wyatt came in.
Ignoring her swollen cheek, he started blaming her without a second thought.
Back then, Stella felt only fear and confusion.
Almost the same thing happened again.
With Alexander by her side, she wasn’t afraid or confused at all.
"Ms. Durham," Stella stepped out from behind Alexander, "You were worried that I would cling to Wyatt, right? Honestly, before dealing with you, this possibility was very real. But after realizing that being with Wyatt meant dealing with a wicked mother-in-law like you, I've completely given up on that idea. I came to see Wyatt today because you can't control him, he's causing too much trouble. Rest assured, Alexander and I have already registered our marriage, we're just planning the wedding. As you wish, Wyatt and I will never have any contact again."
After saying that, Stella looked at Wyatt again, "Do you understand now why I chose Alexander over you?"
Wyatt's face turned as white as a sheet.
Stella didn't need his answer.
"Let's go."
Alexander, still furious, looked at the Durham family one more time before leading Stella away to the other side.
Fiona looked at Stella with guilt, but Stella smiled and shook her head at her.
Despite getting slapped, Stella felt exceptionally good today.
Preston kept grumbling all the way.
"Stella, why bother with him? It's best to ignore him. Look at those scoundrels in his family, who cares about your good intentions?"
The elders of the Durham family heard it loud and clear.
Their faces were all extremely ugly.
The Beaumont family might seem insignificant, but they had a long lineage of medical experts with a long-standing tradition, never interrupted for generations.
The younger generation in the family excelled in medicine.
Many significant figures sought help from the Beaumont family for their lives, especially Alexander.
Despite claiming to be an antique dealer, his businesses were all related to healthcare.
If they offended the Beaumont family, the trouble they could face was unimaginable.
So, the Beaumont family may seem insignificant, but in reality, few dared to provoke them, both at home and abroad.
Stella's father initially wanted to arrange this marriage precisely to leverage the invisible influence of the Beaumont family.
Fiona and Darwin walked at the back.
The couple glanced at the Durham family members.
"Darwin..." Wyatt's father spoke.
"You're really going too far." Darwin said coldly, "Miss White's wedding is approaching, and you've injured her face, which is unacceptable."
The Durham family members were stunned.
Everyone knew Darwin had once pursued Stella, but now he was defending her.
"It was you, wasn’t it?" Ms. Durham's gaze fell on Fiona, "I remember you and Stella getting along well..."
"Ms. Durham, have you truly lost your mind?" Fiona interrupted before she could say anything, "Are you even daring to accuse me now?"
Ms. Durham had met Fiona twice when Wyatt was seriously injured.
Fiona was very polite and gentle, which made Ms. Durham thought that was her nature.
But when Fiona looked at her, Ms. Durham's heart rate soared, and she had to take a pill to calm down.
"Wyatt, though I know your family doesn’t like Stella, bullying her to this extent is absurd. I don’t understand why you’re standing with them. Stella has no parents to protect her. She only had you. And what did you do?" "
