Chapter 958
"Of course I miss them. But it won't stop me from having a Mexican meal!" Fiona said.
Christopher was speechless.
Half an hour later, his face was red from the spiciness, but he couldn't stop eating.
"Delicious!" he said.
Fiona couldn't help but smile.
At this moment, a plane flew across the sky in front of them. Fiona wasn't sure if it was the flight Wyatt was on.
After Christopher was full, Fiona settled the bill. Then, they set off on the road back to North Alabama.
As Stella put it, they had to go back.
Meanwhile, the people were about to fight over naming the baby. Fiona sat in the car with a sad Milo on her lap. From last night until now, Milo hadn't eaten a bite; it likely missed Wyatt.
"Did Kenny give up? He's so smart, yet he can’t handle this little dispute? He clearly wants to wait for me to come back and play the villain." Fiona ruthlessly exposed Kenny's thoughts.
"Kenny probably doesn't have time for this now. He hasn't come out of the shadow of childbirth yet. He doesn't leave Thalassa for 24 hours," Stella replied vaguely. "Last night, Aunt Walker even scolded Kenny for not holding the baby, not even once!"
"Take it easy," Fiona replied.
"I think so too. Anyway, the baby is the treasure of the whole family now, surrounded by excessive love every day!" Stella chattered all the way.
It wasn't until Fiona got tired of listening that Stella hung up, saying she wanted to play games with Chicago.
When Fiona arrived in North Alabama, it was already late at night. Thalassa and the baby were both asleep. Fiona didn't want to disturb them. She went straight back to the Walker family.
Getting out of the car, Fiona saw Darwin waiting for her in the darkness.
The soft light of the street lamp fell on Darwin, making him look even more slender and gentle.
Fiona walked over, opened her arms, and embraced him tightly.
"There are so many mosquitoes outside; why are you standing here waiting? I can walk over myself." Fiona's tone carried a hint of reproach.
Darwin was particularly attractive to mosquitoes.
In just this short time, who knows how many bites he had gotten.
"I wanted to hug you earlier." Darwin buried his head in Fiona's neck, breathing in the air filled with her scent.
Gradually, the sense of security he had been missing these days returned, making him feel grounded again.
"You are so clingy," Fiona said, but her hands gently stroked Darwin's back. "Are Charles and Chicago asleep?"
"They were exhausted from playing all day. After their baths, they said they would wait for you to come home, but both fell asleep as soon as they lay down," Darwin said with a smile.
"Let's go back." Fiona held Darwin's hand, glanced back at Christopher, and signaled him.
Christopher nodded, locked the car, and happily went to find Charlotte.
Little did they know...
When Fiona entered Chicago's room, she saw Chicago and Charlotte sleeping in all sorts of positions on the bed.
Christopher sneaked into his daughter's room.
To his horror, he found the room empty, not a single person in sight, and he broke out in a cold sweat.
Christopher thought of all the possible bad scenarios. Just as he was panicking, Christopher received a message from Fiona.
Charlotte slept peacefully, looking very secure. Even with someone taking pictures nearby, Charlotte didn't wake up.
Christopher's heart immediately calmed down, his legs went weak, and collapsed to the floor.
Then, he inexplicably felt a sense of having survived a disaster.
