Chapter 1020

Because Darwin was gradually taking over Solomons' affairs, Henry, who had been working on the island project at Silvamara Bay, finished his tasks and returned to the Bay City.

Henry was aware of Darwin's amnesia. Therefore, he proactively suggested to Fiona that before Darwin fully took over Solomons, he would be willing to work by Darwin's side as a special assistant.

Fiona was very grateful.

And Henry was taken aback by the ample reward.

Before dinner, Darwin and Henry concluded a long video conference.

"How did it go?" Fiona stood in front of Darwin's desk.

Darwin looked at her and smiled. "Quite well, I handled it all by instinct, didn't have to think much."

"That's impressive!" Fiona said, reaching out her hand. "Let's have dinner."

Darwin stood up.

The Walker family, knowing Darwin needed rehabilitation, had set up a special room for his therapy.

Additionally, Alexander treated him every other day. Over the past month, Darwin's leg had recovered quite well. He could now walk without a cane, but it was still a bit awkward without it, so he continued to use it.

"Henry said that when we go back, there will be a group meeting about the island project," Darwin said as he walked out with Fiona.

"Alright, we'll return after the meeting," Fiona replied calmly.

"Okay." Darwin squeezed her hand. "When we get there, I'll take you boating to see the Coral Sea."

Fiona looked at him. She remembered Aura mentioning that she and Darwin had once gone to see the Coral Sea alone.

"Sure." Fiona nodded. "But can you row a boat?"

"I can do anything," Darwin said with a smile.

For a moment, Fiona felt like she was seeing the old Darwin.

"Yes, you are the best," Fiona echoed.

Darwin was in a good mood today.

Chicago was in Charles' room at that moment.

The window was open, and she saw her parents coming out. She hurriedly ran out, almost tripping over the threshold in her haste.

Darwin, alarmed, dropped his cane and rushed over.

"Are you okay? Does it hurt?" he asked, giving the threshold a light smack.

"Silly!" Chicago exclaimed, pulling Darwin's hand back. "Daddy, you're silly. The threshold won't hurt, but your hand will!"

Charles walked to the door, glanced at Darwin and Chicago, and then looked helplessly at his equally helpless mother.

Fiona shrugged at him.

"I don't hurt." Darwin gently hugged Chicago, patting her back. "Sweetie, walk slower next time. We're right here; we won't run away. If you fall, we'll be very sad."

Chicago laughed, mimicking Darwin's actions, patting his back. "Okay, I know!"

"Alright," Fiona said, shaking her head in exasperation. "If you keep this up, the food will get cold!"

Soon, Chicago ran off to eat.

Charles stepped over the threshold.

Darwin was afraid Charles might trip, too.

The Walker family's threshold was a bit too high!

"Daddy," Charles looked up at Darwin and said, "This isn't good."
