Chapter 805 Save a Seat at the Ex-Boyfriend's Table!

After Wyatt gritted his teeth and uttered those words, he hung up.

Soon after, Wyatt's phone started buzzing. He received some photos and videos.

Wyatt's face turned pale as he trembled to open them.

The first thing he saw was Stella's radiant smile.

Wyatt had always wondered how Stella, with her troubled past, managed to be so cheerful every day.

He had even asked her once, "Do you have so many happy things going on that you're always smiling?"

Wyatt couldn't recall how Stella had responded at that moment; he realized he hadn't paid much attention to her words.

But in a daze, he remembered that when Stella answered that question, her eyes sparkled.

Next, Wyatt saw Stella in a beautiful and unique wedding dress.

Stella lowered her eyes, seemingly gazing at someone showcasing the dress.

The following photo displayed an evening gown for the wedding reception.

Wyatt noticed a large, distinct hand gently resting on Stella's waist.

Just these two photos were enough to shatter Wyatt.

Hastily flipping through more images, he came across pictures of a church and an invitation that read: [Alexander & Stella invite XX to witness their ceremony at a certain church on a certain day of a certain year and month.]

Wyatt immediately felt a piercing pain in his heart.

Without hesitation, he booked a flight to Zurich.

On his way to the airport, he had someone investigate who Alexander Beaumont really was.

By the time he reached the airport, he had received information about Alexander.

Despite being a relative of sorts, Alexander was only three years older than Stella.

Alexander's family background was unremarkable, neither good nor bad.

It seemed he didn't rely on his family for income; the information stated he was an antique dealer. The dossier also included a photo of Alexander. He exuded a completely different style from Wyatt.

Stella once described Wyatt as charming and attractive, while Alexander's demeanor appeared cold. Although he wasn't as good-looking as Wyatt, he wasn't lacking either.

After reviewing the information, Wyatt rubbed his forehead and muttered, "It must be fake. Stella always said she disliked cold and aloof men".

He thought, 'Yes, Wyatt, stay calm. Stella is just trying to provoke you.'

Despite thinking this, Wyatt, with a fierce expression, immediately made a call, "I want to find dirt on Alexander. If there isn't any, then dig up something on his family. If they don't have anything, then manufacture something for me, understood?"

The person on the other line promptly agreed to this task.

Two hours later, Wyatt boarded the plane to Zurich.

Meanwhile, news of this incident quickly reached Fiona's ears.

Darwin hadn't yet to activate his old phone, so his friends couldn't reach him, so they ended up calling Fiona instead. "Fiona, after much deliberation, we think Darwin should step in and talk to Wyatt."

"What's going on?" Fiona said.

"Stella is getting married, and Wyatt, upon hearing the news, went straight to Zurich in a fit of madness. Before leaving, he told us to find any dirt on the groom. You know, both his friends and his family don't like Stella.. Our point is that she has other options now, so let her get married. In this way, Wyatt can also wake up a bit, but he..."

"You guys are quite something," Fiona interjected, exasperated. "If Stella doesn't get married, you accuse her of clinging to Wyatt. Now that she's following your previous wishes and is about to marry someone else, do you still want to belittle her? I'm curious now. Has Stella brought disaster upon you?"

The person on the other line seemed taken aback by Fiona's unexpected response.

"Do you even know who she's marrying? Are you just going to call her fickle?" Fiona redirected the criticism back at them.

"Fiona, we mean no harm. We mainly want Darwin to persuade Wyatt to come back. Wyatt listens to Darwin..." The person on the line end was clearly holding back their frustration.

Fiona was no longer the same girl as before, and everyone was aware of that.

"No." Darwin spoke up from the side.

"Darwin..." The person on the other line hurriedly tried to say something upon hearing Darwin's voice.

"That's enough." Fiona interrupted. "I understand your thoughts. You believe Stella's decision to marry is just a lie to pressure Wyatt. If that's truly what you think, then don't worry. Stella is indeed getting married, and Wyatt will truly be free in the future."

Silence fell on the other line.

Fiona had nothing more to say. She hung up.

"Who are they?" Darwin inquired.

"Your friends," Fiona replied.

Darwin had probably sensed that these people had belittled and trampled on Stella. He also recalled their past interactions.

After a moment of hesitation, he asked, "Have they treated you the same way before?"

Fiona looked at him, appearing deep in thought. "They did it once. And then you flipped the table and took me away."

Honestly, sometimes, when Fiona reminisced about the time she fell for Darwin, she didn't see anything wrong with it.

After all, for a while, Darwin had been genuinely good to her.

When Darwin's friends' companions mocked her as a stand-in, Darwin's expression immediately changed, and he began to defend her. He even said, "Who do you think you are? Mocking her? Are you even worthy?"

After that incident, Fiona never saw those female companions with Darwin's friends again.

Darwin even physically attacked a business partner who had lusted after her, using a wine bottle to teach him a lesson.

Besides, Darwin was so handsome.

"That's good." Darwin sighed in relief. "I won't hang out with them anymore."

Fiona chuckled and said, "You haven't been hanging out with them for a long time anyway."

"Yeah." Darwin embraced Fiona.

Chicago's voice echoed from the doorway. "Mommy, it's time for arts and crafts with Daddy and the kids."

Darwin helplessly rested his head on Fiona's shoulder and chuckled softly.

"Coming." Fiona smiled, patting Darwin's back.

As they engaged in arts and crafts with Chicago, Fiona couldn't shake off the thought of Wyatt going to find Stella.

Wyatt was a smooth operator, and Fiona had never seen him act impulsively.

However, the more composed a person was, the more unpredictable they became when they acted impulsively.

After some contemplation, she decided to send a message to Stella.

Fiona: [Wyatt is on a plane to Zurich.]

Shortly after sending the message, Stella replied promptly.

Stella: [I understand. I'll save a seat for Wyatt at the ex-boyfriend's table before the banquet.]
