Chapter 1106

Fiona, who hadn't slept well, got up too.

She helped Darwin with his tie.

Then, they had breakfast together.

"Why am I more nervous than you?" Fiona muttered.

Darwin chuckled. "Worried someone will pick on me?"

"Not really," Fiona said, shaking her head. "It's like a mom sending her kid to an exam, you know?"

Darwin laughed harder. "So you see me as your kid?"

"Your kid would be less trouble," Fiona said, handing him toast with peanut butter. He didn't take it but opened his mouth for a bite.

After a quick breakfast, Fiona went downstairs to see Darwin off.

"Meeting the psychologist at noon?" Darwin asked before getting in the car.

"Yeah," Fiona nodded, adjusting his diamond cufflinks. "I'll call you when I'm done."

"Okay." Fiona tiptoed to kiss him. "Good luck."

Darwin smiled and nodded.

He got in the car, and the Maybach slowly drove into the morning mist.

Fiona took a deep breath, and went back inside.

In the car, Darwin was fiddling with his cufflinks.

Xavier noticed he seemed in a good mood.

So he cautiously asked, "Mr. Solomon, Mrs. Solomon asked me to bring back the cane from yesterday. She said it was precious. Where did you leave it? I'll have someone fetch it."

Darwin's expression turned cold.

He mentioned the park's location, "Check the lost and found. If it's not there, report back to me."

"Understood," Xavier nodded.

The park?

Xavier was puzzled.

If it were anyone else, Xavier might think Darwin was spending time in the park with a lover and an illegitimate child. But that was impossible with Darwin.

He and the Secretary had joined Darwin around the same time.

He didn't know about earlier events, but after the Secretary, there was only Bella, who was called to confront the Secretary.

Lilian was nothing.

Darwin always kept a distance from her.

So why would Darwin spend half a day in the park instead of having dinner with Fiona?

Xavier had many questions but didn't dare ask any.

Twenty minutes later, Darwin's car parked in his designated spot.

Henry and the other VPs were already waiting nearby.

The car door opened.

Darwin stepped out.

His gaze swept over the crowd, exuding authority.

"Mr. Solomon!" the crowd greeted.

Henry stepped forward. "Mr. Solomon, everything is ready."

"Good," Darwin responded, walking straight to the elevator hall.

At the back of the crowd, a few people had strange expressions.

They looked at Darwin's departing figure and exchanged glances.
