Chapter 1129

After a bit, Fiona glanced at Janna. "In the end, it was Antony. I don't plan to blame the White family."

Francis and Xanthe from the White family were already powerless to deal with it.

Among the younger ones, only Antony was left.

Now he's in prison, and the family just went through a huge tragedy.

The blow to the two elders was already heavy enough.

Janna lowered her eyes. "Francis was talking nonsense, tarnishing Darwin's name. I'm really mad, but..."

She sighed, "The White Group's luck has run out. They've been struggling for a while. Let Francis and Xanthe live out their remaining years in peace."

She was getting older.

Familiar faces were becoming fewer.

No matter how mad she was, she couldn't stay indifferent.

"Don't worry, the other White family members won't dare cause trouble again," Janna added. "I'll have a good talk with Francis. This is the last time. If he can't control his family and keeps causing trouble for my child, you and Darwin won't need to step in. I'll handle it myself!"

"Alright, I get it," Fiona said softly to Janna. "The doctor said you need to stay calm and not get so angry."

"I know, but this just happened," Janna sighed. "I used to think God was harsh on me, making me suffer in love. And my descendants, they're all fools. But luckily, God had mercy and sent you to me when I was near the end."

It was odd that Janna's old friends, no matter how successful they were in their youth, their businesses either fell apart after their deaths, torn apart by their kids, or they were swept away by time.

There were also those like the White Group, withering away gradually, unable to save themselves.

But Janna was different.

For decades, she worried daily about the future of the Rhoads Group.

Before finding Fiona, she even thought about finding someone with no blood relation but with great ability and character to take over the Rhoads Group.

Unexpected, during this gap, things suddenly took a turn for the better.

Fiona gently comforted Janna for a while.

She understood Janna's frustration.

"Alright, I'll calm down." Janna touched Fiona's cheek. "Go check on Chicago. She's been down since she got back."

"Down?" Fiona left Janna's study.

On one side of the farm, she found Chicago helping Stuart pick tomatoes.

She was carrying a basket, her head drooping, lightly kicking a small dirt mound with her new little shoes.

"Chicago," Fiona called.

Chicago immediately looked up, forcing a smile at Fiona. "Mommy, you're back! Look, Stuart's big tomatoes have had a great harvest!"

"Great! Stuart's planting skills are getting better and better!" Fiona gave a thumbs up in praise.

Stuart heard Fiona's praise from a distance.

His tall figure immediately showed obvious happiness.

His memory still hadn't returned.

Although Stuart had heard from many people about a completely unfamiliar version of himself, he preferred his current life.
