Chapter 848 Meeting of Internet Friends
Later, due to Wyatt's relentless pursuit, there was also her burning desire; she had the determination to strive and walk with him to the end.
"Alexander, do you understand? Stella is reminding you," Fiona deliberately said.
Stella was taken aback.
Then Alexander said, "Got it; I'll start buying roses tomorrow."
"I didn't mean that. You two are teasing me together!" Stella couldn't help but smile helplessly.
The strange atmosphere just now instantly returned to normal.
"You're not allowed to buy; it's a waste of money!" Stella warned Alexander.
Alexander just smiled but didn't respond.
Amidst their laughter and banter, they arrived at Emerald Pool.
Just as they entered the gate, they saw Thalassa with Chicago waiting from a distance.
Stella and Thalassa, who were newly acquainted internet friends, were both excited.
As soon as the car stopped, she couldn't wait to push open the car door and get out.
"Thalassa!"
"Stella!"
Thalassa and Stella greeted each other like long-lost friends.
They excitedly held each other's hands and stomped in place.
Chicago watched with a smile, and when Fiona got out of the car, she followed suit, grabbing Fiona's hand and shaking it.
"It's so sunny, let's go inside and sit," Fiona said, reminding Stella, "Remember to bring your husband."
Stella immediately turned back.
Alexander had already gotten out of the car.
She walked up, linking arms with Alexander and introducing him, "Alexander, this is Thalassa, Thalassa, this is Alexander!"
Thalassa's big eyes sparkled with curiosity as she looked Alexander up and down. She felt Alexander looked much better in person than in photos!
"Thalassa, nice to meet you," Alexander politely greeted.
Thalassa came to her senses and quickly shook hands, saying, "Nice to meet you!"
After exchanging pleasantries, they went into the living room.
Darwin was playing chess with Charles.
When they saw them coming, they both stood up in sync.
"You two continue; it's not time for a gathering yet. I'll go check on Grandma." Fiona gestured for Darwin and Charles to sit down.
Stella also said, "Mr. Solomon, I consider this place my own home; don't be polite. Do whatever you need to do!"
Alexander nodded politely at Darwin. Then he followed Stella.
Darwin and Charles sat down. They resumed their chess game.
But for some reason, Darwin felt that Stella's smile was quite mischievous.
"Charles, was my relationship with Stella good before?" Darwin slowly moved a white chess piece and asked Charles.
"You two didn't really have a relationship," Charles said, placing a black chess piece and capturing one of Darwin's, then added, "I heard from Thalassa that you used to chase after Stella. She often wasn't at Armie because she was avoiding you."
"Chase after?" Darwin was taken aback.
Did they have a significant grudge before?
Charles said, "Thalassa said Stella would introduce pretty men to mom."
In fact, Thalassa wanted to say gigolo at the time. But she was afraid it might shock Charles and Chicago, so she changed it to handsome men.
Darwin thought, 'That is indeed a deep-seated hatred.'
He looked over to the living room.
Stella and Thalassa seemed engrossed in conversation, their expressions vivid.
One seemed annoyed; the other seemed shocked by some gossip.
Thalassa originally wanted to ask about Wyatt's condition.
Stella didn't say much about Wyatt. But she did vent about Emma.
Clearly, after hearing this gossip, Thalassa was both satisfied and indignant! She said, "I've heard from colleagues that Ms. Durham is haughty and looks dignified, but she never looks kindly on those less well-off than her!" Thalassa exclaimed, "I never expected her to be so despicable! You just got married, sacrificed your honeymoon time to save her son, and she actually advised you to divorce! How despicable can she get?"
"Not only that, when I went to see Wyatt, she even bullied my husband!" Stella said, then quickly reassured Thalassa, "You're pregnant, don't get worked up!"
"It's fine; you have your husband here, right?" Thalassa waved generously.
She grabbed a piece of watermelon and took a bite. Before she could finish it, Chicago snatched it away and said, "Kenny said you can only eat three pieces a day, no more!"
"He's not here!" Thalassa glared at Chicago.
"That's not okay." Chicago insisted.
Thalassa seemed to have no authority.
"That won't work either," Thalassa muttered.
Fiona glanced over from the kitchen and said to Janna with a smile, "Thalassa is really under Chicago's strict control."
"This is Kenny's task, to strictly control Thalassa's snacking and sweets intake," Janna chuckled, "By the time you step out, they've already had three or four arguments and made up five or six times."
Fiona laughed along.
Janna asked, "How's Wyatt doing?"
"Stella isn't a miracle worker; let's see how it goes in the next few days," Fiona sighed and said, "But the Beaumont family are all good people. Alexander said he can help check on Wyatt again and see if there's another way to wake him up."
Janna said, "The Durham family might not agree."
"Especially Emma," Fiona shook her head and said.
"When she was young, she was already unpleasant. How can she still do such annoying things at her age?" Janna frowned in disgust and said, "My son almost arranged a marriage with her. After meeting her once, he decisively refused. If she had come to our family, it would have caused chaos!"
"Really?!" Fiona was shocked. "By the way, how's Jannie doing now?"
"She's doing well, gradually building up some good businesses. Her two sons are also doing well in their studies," Janna nodded with satisfaction and said, "The Rhoads family's reputation isn't completely ruined."
"This summer vacation, we're going to accompany Thalassa to give birth. How about Christmas? Ask Jannie if she'd like to come over for the holidays?" Fiona said.
"Let's discuss it later," Janna fell silent for a moment and said, "I'm a bit apprehensive now."
"Apprehensive?" Fiona saw Janna looking worried and put down what she was holding, looking at her seriously. "You're not worried that my two cousins will have conflicts with Charles and Chicago in the future, are you?"
Janna didn't say anything, which seemed to acquiesce in Fiona's guess.
In her lifetime, she had seen too many biological siblings turn against each other over a vast family fortune.
And Chris's two children were grandchildren.
In the eyes of outsiders, Fiona's children were great-grandchildren.
If Chris's two children, with a slightly twisted mind, felt that Charles and Chicago had taken something from them...
"Grandma, you're worrying too much!" Fiona gently patted her hand, teasingly scolding her, "Let the next generation handle their affairs. When it comes to who will inherit the Rhoads family in the future, I'll only look at capability. If Charles and Chicago can't handle the business, I won't hand it to them."
