Chapter 1022

Darwin glanced at it and then moved on to other financial reports.

The issues at Durhams couldn't be resolved merely by changing the chairman. The internal competition within Durhams was intense. Previously, the balance was maintained by the Durham family, the largest shareholder. Now, with the original heir Wyatt relinquishing his inheritance rights to Durhams, this balance was disrupted. The various factions immediately began to engage in fierce struggles. The removal of the chairman was just the beginning. If a new balance couldn't be found, Durhams would eventually fall apart.

"Mr. Solomon." Darwin was reading when he heard Rex's voice at the door.

He glanced at the room where Fiona was, picked up his cane, and walked towards the door.

"Are you looking for me?" Darwin asked.

He had encountered Rex twice in the past two days, always among groups of guests, probably following his family.

"Yes!" Rex nodded. "I'm going home with my grandma tomorrow. Mr. Solomon, can I have your contact information?"

Darwin thought for a moment. "Is there something your family needs my help with?"

Rex shook his head and then lowered his eyes. "You saved me and listened to me. Very few people listen to me."

Darwin looked at him. He had previously shared his background, which was very similar to Darwin's own. As a child, few people listened to him either.

Darwin took out his phone and opened his Facebook. Rex immediately added him on Facebook with a happy expression.

"Mr. Solomon, when I get home, I'll find time to visit you!" He glanced at his phone and then looked at Darwin with pure affection.

Darwin nodded. "Where are you from?"

"The Bay City!"

Darwin was slightly taken aback, then nodded again. "I also live in the Bay City. If you need any help in the future, you can find me."

"Okay!" Rex, having obtained Darwin's Facebook, seemed to have found a treasure. He continued, "Mr. Solomon, my grandma is still waiting for me over there. I'll go to her now. Let's keep in touch!"

"Alright." Darwin nodded.

Rex ran off happily.

Darwin smiled and shook his head, intending to turn back. But just as he turned, he caught a glimpse of Charles and Chicago's group returning in a hurry with Burl.

"What happened?" Darwin quickly approached them.

"Nothing!" Burl said, urging the children. "Go take a bath, and then wait for me in my room!"

"Okay! I love playing hide and seek with you!" Chicago said joyfully.

Darwin had long forbidden Burl from playing hide and seek with the children. "Hurry up, go!"

Burl continued to urge them, except for Charlotte, the other three headed back.

"Charlotte, go on!" Burl urged.

Charlotte watched the three walk away. She finally gave Burl a look. "I saw it."

Burl's face turned pale immediately. "What did you see?"

"A dead person's foot," Charlotte said calmly, "I've seen many dead people's feet. The one just now was a swollen dead person's foot."
