Chapter 895
Fiona's current thoughts were simple.
Although treatment to quickly restore Darwin's memory was possible, Fiona felt that this was a bit like forcing things.
Finn's words were tactful, and memories may not necessarily be good for Darwin.
Rather than taking risks, Fiona decisively chose to take it slow, first focusing on recuperating her body. Memories, whether they existed or not, were no longer important to her.
The past was in the past, and what Fiona valued more was the future of her family.
Darwin opened his mouth. He seemed to want to say something, but when the words reached his lips, he said nothing, just nodded obediently.
Since Scarlet found out that Thalassa was coming back to North Alabama to have a baby, Scarlet had been busy. She had been preparing for a while. But she always felt unprepared in some aspects.
As the late stages of pregnancy approached, Thalassa's legs had begun to show signs of swelling.
She wanted a natural delivery, so to ensure a smooth delivery, she went for a one-hour walk after dinner every day.
When they were in Bay City, she used to walk in Fiona's garden.
In North Alabama, there were so many places she could go.
At dusk, the group was about to go out to the nearby riverbank to watch the sunset.
Just before leaving, Samuel came out and called Kenny, "Kenny, can you come over? I need your help with something."
Kenny looked at Thalassa.
Thalassa smiled and gently pushed him, saying, "Go help Samuel, and I can go for a walk with Fiona!"
"Don't go too far; I'll come find you soon." Kenny lightly stroked Thalassa's lower back, then followed Samuel.
"I'm going to spit on Samuel," Stella murmured, "He appears so upright, yet he manages such a vast corporate empire!"
Currently, the Walker family business was primarily divided into four parts.
Samuel and Silas Walker each oversaw a portion, while Matt and Scarlet were in charge of the remaining two segments.
"At home, it may seem this way, but one time when Kenny and I attended the shareholders' meeting together, I didn't even recognize the powerful and commanding figures of Samuel and Silas at the meeting!" Thalassa boasted, "That moment enlightened me on why Anna and Olivia Martinez, two exceptional beauties, chose them!"
Anna and Olivia were formidable women in their own right, having founded their enterprises independent of the Walker family's business.
The children's natural inclinations were set free outside.
Even the usually serene Charlotte engaged in a spirited water fight with Chicago by the riverbank.
Fiona remained unperturbed, including a dampened Charles, who was among the group of four dripping youngsters standing nearby.
"Shouldn't you all go back and change your clothes?" Stella worried that they might fall ill.
Fiona waved her hand dismissively. "It's fine. If they get sick, they'll think twice before playing like this again next time."
As they conversed, Darwin suddenly called out, "Jessie!"
Following his words, a splash was heard.
Jessie joyfully leaped from a low bridge into the river and then cheerfully swam in the bright water.
Darwin sighed deeply.
Just the day before, he'd been nearly exhausted helping Jessie bathe with Chicago!
"Jessie is amazing!" Chicago, initially startled by Jessie's river leap, watched as Jessie smoothly swam back to shore.
She ecstatically bounced in place, exclaiming, "Jessie is such a great swimmer!"
Before long, Jessie made it back to the shore.
