Chapter 711 She Won’t

Henry's face was grim, but with Fiona present, he also stood his ground.

"Aura, the ownership of this island belongs to my boss. Where can't she go?" Henry asked. "Do we need you to set the rules on our territory?"

Fiona smiled and gave Henry a thumbs up.

Out of the corner of Cyrus's eye, he caught Fiona's smile, and his heartbeat couldn't help but race.

Suddenly, Cyrus remembered that someone had seen her at his previous workplace.

They jokingly said, "Fiona is indeed beautiful. Otherwise, why do you think Darwin is so infatuated with her? My daughter works at Solomon. Do you know how the people there described Darwin's feelings for his wife?"

Everyone shook their heads.

The person said, "Darwin has changed for love. The gist is that after Fiona came back, Darwin's style of doing things changed significantly. He became more tolerant and less harsh."

At that time, Cyrus didn't understand.

He even specifically searched online for her appearance.

She was indeed beautiful.

However, Cyrus didn't understand what was worth Darwin changing for love.

Now, Cyrus seemed to understand a little.

"So, you're here to cause trouble, is that it?" Aura said fiercely. "Brother Cyrus, call for backup!"

"Aura, don't be like this," Cyrus said in a low voice.

"Don't be so nervous and excited." Fiona looked at Aura. "I'm just out for a walk after dinner. If I really wanted trouble, I would have brought more people."

Aura wanted to rush forward again, but Cyrus held her back.

"Miss Woods, do as you please. As long as you don't come near our home," Cyrus said, still unable to look at Fiona.

"I’ve got some manners." Fiona finished speaking and glanced at Christopher.

She snapped her fingers in front of Christopher and said, "Snap out of it, let's go."

Christopher remained silent.

‘Why? Don't just stand there!’

Christopher glared at Aura fiercely, then reluctantly followed Fiona and continued walking.

"Cyrus, what are you doing?"

When they were far enough away, Aura looked at Cyrus with a puzzled expression and said, "Are you so afraid of her? If we let her go today because Fiona was just here for a walk, what if she brings people to tear down our houses tomorrow!"

"She won't," Cyrus blurted out.

Aura furrowed her brows even tighter and asked, "How do you know she won't? She's the CEO of Solomon! She's the one who decides to drive us away and build a resort here! What makes you think she won't?"

Cyrus didn't say anything.

Aura was getting furious, so she ignored Cyrus and quickly went back to the house. She took out a chair and placed it at the doorway, then sat down with a determined look.

Aura kept her eyes fixed on Fiona's direction, guarding against her approach.

Little did she know, Fiona didn't have any intention of doing so.

"When Mr. Solomon came here, he originally planned to build a group of water houses over there," Henry said while pointing to a certain water area.

The wind picked up slightly.

Fiona adjusted her coat.

She looked at the area that Darwin had already planned but didn't say anything.

After Henry finished speaking, he didn't disturb Fiona and just stood to the side.

Fiona held her arms and silently watched for a while.

In fact, Darwin didn't like water or the sea.

Before, he had never thought about doing a beach resort project.

In the second winter since Fiona and Darwin met, Bay City was particularly cold that winter.

Fiona had a hard time that winter and was constantly getting sick.

In the third spring, Darwin suddenly said that he bought a piece of land and wanted to build a high-end resort. He also mentioned that he had set aside a private area where Fiona could spend her winters in the future.

After that, Fiona faked her death and left.

Fiona heard that Darwin had never been to that piece of land again.

Why did Darwin buy this place last year?

What was Darwin's state of mind when he bought this place?

Suddenly, Fiona felt a wave of bitterness in her heart.

"Since he planned it this way, we have to follow his wishes," Fiona murmured to herself.

Henry could sense Fiona's sadness, so he sighed softly.

In the past, Secretary Woods had treated Mr. Solomon extremely well, but Mr. Solomon was oblivious.

Later, Henry watched Mr. Solomon fall into painful memories every day because he was unable to have Secretary Woods's love.

Henry always felt regretful.

Henry remembered a saying he had heard before.

She loved him, and he loved her too, but they had never truly loved each other.

Darwin endured the sorrow until finally, a miracle happened.

Secretary Woods was brought back to life.

Henry watched them, having children and living a normal married life, feeling happy and content.

In the distance, after taking a short break and no longer experiencing a headache, the man leaned on his cane and walked to the window. Originally, he wanted to see if the sunset had dissipated. Instead, he caught sight of three figures on the beach.

The man had limited mobility; he had rarely left the hotel.

To keep him entertained, Aura had brought him a telescope. Whenever he had time, he would sit by the window or on the roof and look at birds and other things. It was quite amusing.

He turned and picked up the telescope from the table.

He looked once again at the three figures.

Coincidentally, right as he could see one of the people clearly, she suddenly turned her head and wiped away the tears falling from her eyes.

It was already dark.

Although her appearance was not clear, he could still sense her sadness.

His chest inexplicably began to ache and his head throbbed intensely.

Nevertheless, he didn't loosen his grip on the telescope. Beads of sweat formed on his forehead as he furrowed his brow and continued to watch her.

She quickly turned back and said something to the two men standing behind her.

He recognized the shorter of the two men.

It seemed his name was Henry, one of the people who wanted to demolish the hotel.

Was that woman with them?

Suddenly, he remembered what Aura had mentioned before that the president's wife, who was invested in by Solomon, would personally come to the island to deal with the precious corals.

Volunteers wouldn't be with people invested in by Solomon.

Henry was very respectful toward that woman.

So, she was the president's wife invested in by Solomon?

Did he know her from before?

Why did his headache and his heart feel so much pain upon seeing her?

Several images flashed in his mind and then turned into snowflakes.

At the next moment, the man suddenly coughed up blood.

"Blaise!"

Gray came to bring food to Blaise and saw Blaise coughing up blood upon entering the room. She exclaimed in shock.

Aura, who was sitting at the door, heard the commotion upstairs and was also startled. She immediately forgot about the president's wife and hurriedly ran upstairs.

"Mom! What's wrong with Blaise?"

"Quickly call your brother back. Blaise coughed up blood and fainted!" Gray was extremely anxious.

Aura immediately responded.

Then, she quickly ran downstairs and dashed toward Cyrus's direction.

Cyrus picked a flower and played with it in his hand.

Cyrus occasionally glanced in Fiona's direction.

He saw the trio walking back.

Cyrus immediately stood straight, thought for a moment, and decided to walk toward them.

Cyrus had no ulterior motive.

He just wanted to give her another flower since he didn't pick up the one earlier.
