Chapter 952
Wyatt shifted his gaze and walked out with a cold face.
As Wyatt reached the door, he heard Oliver's voice. "Wyatt."
Wyatt halted.
"We've been through danger too. The year when we went on a trip, I was the one who pulled you out of the offshore current. I've risked my life for you! I'm sorry to Stella, but I have nothing to apologize to you for!" Towards the end, Oliver's voice choked up.
Wyatt didn't turn back or say anything. He just opened the door and left.
Christopher saw Wyatt coming out. He immediately went to check on Fiona.
Fiona also stood up, glanced at Oliver who was sobbing, turned around, and left the room.
"You did it on purpose, didn't you?" After Fiona walked out, she swept her eyes across Wyatt fiercely. "You knew if you had sent me those two videos, I would never have acted as a mediator for Oliver."
"Isn't it great to slap him in the face?" Wyatt looked at Fiona. "Isn't that what you've always liked?"
Fiona fell silent. She didn't deny it.
"Let's go have French cuisine." Wyatt averted his gaze. "I remember the first time dining alone with you, it was French cuisine... It was in New Port, right? Back then, I advised you to stay away from Darwin. Unexpectedly, in the end, you two are together while I and Stella are broken up."
After saying that, Wyatt chuckled with self-mockery. He lifted his foot and walked out.
Just as he reached the hall, a soft, joyful voice sounded from one side. "Mr. Durham!"
"Isabella..." Wyatt said.
Emily's hair was slightly messy compared to when she was in the private room.
Her eyes were a bit red, probably from crying.
She raised her hand and gently covered Isabella's mouth.
Isabella looked at Wyatt, her eyes sparkling. She pushed away her mother's hand, smiling and reaching out to Wyatt. "Mr. Durham! Hug!"
"Mr. Durham, sorry. Isabella..." Emily was obviously afraid of Wyatt.
Emily raised her hand again to shield Isabella's face and vision. She slightly leaned aside, instinctively using her own body to protect the child within Wyatt's line of sight.
Seeing this, Wyatt didn't say anything. He just walked towards the gate.
Shortly after he walked away, he heard Isabella crying.
She kept calling out for him.
"You also saved Isabella's life. Why does she like you so much?" Fiona asked.
Wyatt glanced at her, not intending to answer, but the words came out on their own. "When she was born, Oliver was trapped overseas for some reason, and he entrusted me to take care of them for a few months."
"No wonder." Fiona showed a look of understanding.
Wyatt thought that Fiona would persuade him with Isabella as the excuse.
But Fiona remained silent.
Until they got back in the car, Wyatt couldn't help but speak up, "Fiona, aren't you here to persuade me? Did you give up?"
