Chapter 903
On the first night in North Alabama, Fiona unexpectedly slept well. They usually didn't sleep in, but when she woke up, it was already light out.
She quickly got up.
Just as she went out, she saw Charles and Darwin helping Jessie clean off the unknown substances on her body, all of which got wrapped up in fur yesterday at the riverbank and in the water.
They were both very quiet, and no one was scolding the dog.
This actually put Jessie under psychological pressure, sitting there motionless, looking submissive, completely different from the diving champion she was yesterday.
"Mommy." Charles looked up, saw Fiona, and softly called out, "Did you sleep well?"
"Very well," Fiona replied.
Darwin also turned to look at her and said, "Good morning, honey. Breakfast is on the table in the living room. All your favorites are here."
Fiona nodded and walked over.
She ignored Charles, kissed Darwin on the forehead, then looked at Jessie, who was feeling guilty and dared not lift her head.
"I thought you were going to sleep in today too. Are you going diving again?" Fiona asked.
Jessie grumbled.
"What about Chicago? Does she still not up?" Fiona inquired.
"Chicago is in class," Charles replied, "Charlotte and Christopher went outside to exercise."
In reality, Charlotte and Christopher went for a twelve-mile morning run.
"So, it's just me being lazy at home," Fiona muttered.
"Mommy finally has a vacation; it's good to sleep more!" Charles replied, picking off a clump of grass.
Just as they were talking, Stella arrived.
"Are you up too?" Fiona was surprised.
Alexander had adjusted Stella's schedule. Previously, she couldn't be seen during the day and only appeared at night!
"Thalassa's sister-in-law is back!" Stella lowered her voice. "Anna seems to have fought with her family!"
"What about Thalassa?" Fiona immediately asked.
"Haven't you seen the group message?" Stella took out her phone and showed it to Fiona.
Thalassa had written on it.
Thalassa: [Anna is back; she fought with her family. I'm going over to help now!]
Fiona was speechless.
Was a pregnant woman about to give birth going to a fight scene to help?
Fiona said, "Darwin, you stay here and watch over these four babies; I'll go take a look and be right back."
Four babies included three kids and one silly dog.
Darwin looked a bit worried.
"I'll take Mike with me; everything will be fine!" Fiona reassured.
Darwin nodded. "Be careful."
"Don't worry. Fiona has seen it all. She doesn't even flinch in the face of real danger. Let's go!" Stella pulled Fiona and ran outside.
Darwin fell silent.
That feeling of repulsion towards Stella started to surface again in Darwin.
Despite Darwin's amnesia, he still retained sensations. After all, he really didn't like Fiona and Stella interacting in the past.
