Chapter 1345
Fiona was back in Bay City.
After a quick stop at Emerald Pool, Alexander and Stella found Fiona to say their goodbyes.
"This time, leaving Armie, I won't be coming back much," Stella said, holding Fiona's hand with a hint of sadness. "If you need anything, just let me know. You're a true friend to me!"
"Got it." Fiona gave Stella's hand a reassuring pat. "Enjoy your world tour and your freedom. When Darwin and I retire, we'll hit you up for travel tips."
"Then I better keep good notes. Mr. Solomon is super picky; can't let him find any flaws!" Stella said, patting her chest.
Stella and Alexander's flight was set for early the next morning.
Knowing this might be their last meet-up before they left, Stella hugged Fiona tight. "Make sure you finish the meds Alexander prescribed. I've added Lyold on Facebook, and I'll check in with her."
"Got it." Fiona suddenly felt a wave of sadness too.
Stella said she wouldn't be back often, and who knew when they'd see each other again.
Fiona had known Stella for almost ten years.
In those ten years, their paths had diverged completely, with hardly anything in common anymore.
Stella said, "Fiona, we both need to live long lives so we can chat together when we're old!"
She thought Fiona was working too hard.
Plus, Alexander had checked Fiona's health and said she was weak.
Fiona replied, "Don't worry; we will."
Stella patted her back and didn't say more.
The next morning, Alexander and Stella took the early flight out of Armie.
Fiona had thought a brief separation was for a better reunion later, but she didn't expect this farewell to be the last time she'd see Stella in her life.
Time flew by to the end of December, and Bay City had heavy snowfall on Christmas Eve.
The temperature dropped sharply again in the evening.
At that time, Fiona and Ashton were watching Melissa, who was crawling on the mat.
Melissa was eating well and sleeping soundly.
"Stella's living the dream now. She saw the Northern Lights last night," Ashton said enviously.
She and Kenny had planned a long honeymoon too.
But before they could even have the wedding, Melissa was born in a hurry.

"Who knew Alexander was so good at taking photos? Look at Stella's social media; she looks like she's in a movie poster," Fiona sighed.
"Everyone looks good in their lover's lens!" Ashton said, a bit sourly, then glanced at the blizzard outside. "I wonder if Kenny can take good care of Charles and Chicago."
Fiona said, "He probably can."
She then set her phone aside and took a sip of her warm medicine.
The bitterness instantly twisted her face.

In the blink of an eye, Darwin's treatment period was almost four months.
Thanks to his active cooperation and Hubert's excellent treatment, his condition had improved a lot, with fewer hallucinations.
He even started some outdoor activities.
