Chapter 1232

Fiona perched on a big rock by the shore, keeping an eye on their stuff, and shouted with a grin, "Go for it!"

In the golden sunlight, everyone was beaming.

They didn't catch many crabs, but out of nowhere, a water fight broke out.

Crystal-clear water splashed into the air, and the sunlight through the droplets made little rainbows.

Fiona was captivated.

She wished life could always be this perfect.

"Fiona." The voice snapped her back to reality.

She turned to see Burl, who had come ashore at some point, handing her a juice.

Fiona took it. "Thanks."

Burl wasn't mad anymore and sat down next to her.

"I was too harsh on you that day, I'm sorry," Fiona said softly.

Burl's eyes got misty.

He held back his tears. "It was my fault. I'm in my twenties and still so immature."

"You're doing great," Fiona reassured him.

Burl pressed his lips together.

"You're gonna send him away for treatment, right?" he asked.

Fiona's expression turned a bit somber. "Yeah, to Hubert's lab in Cyberia."

"Are you staying in Cyberia?" Burl asked, surprised.

Fiona looked at Darwin, who was being playfully attacked by the kids but was laughing happily, and shook her head. "I'll come back."

She had been talking with Hubert over the past few days.

Hubert's point was simple: to avoid a repeat of Aiden and Marisole's situation, during the treatment, Darwin shouldn't see Fiona too often.

It seemed that a big part of Darwin's later illness was because of Fiona.

He would split off parts of his personality that Fiona didn't like. And to win Fiona's favor, he would disguise himself so deeply that even he couldn't see through his own act.

For these reasons, Fiona decided not to stay with Darwin during his treatment.

Burl furrowed his brows.

After a moment of thinking, he said, "I'll go with you."

Fiona looked at him and smiled. "What's the matter? Think I can't handle it alone?"

"There should always be a family member by your side," Burl mumbled with his head down, "Ashton and Kenny need to stay with Melissa, Janna is too old, and this matter can wait a bit before telling her. Stuart has to stay home to look after the kids. I'll go; it has to be me."

Fiona smiled. "Alright, you can come with me."

Burl's lips quivered, and he felt like crying even more. "I'm going to catch some crabs, Charles hasn't caught any yet!"

Charles and Burl were on the same team.

Originally, Burl was with Darwin. However, considering Darwin's laughable combat skills last time, and looking at Charles, Chicago chose to switch with Charles.

She helped Darwin, and Burl helped Charles.

Burl hurriedly ran down, quickly wiping his tears when no one was looking.

Fiona watched him quickly join the others in play.

She sighed, thinking, 'It will be fine. It will definitely be fine. There will be more moments like this in the future. Endure this short treatment period, and everything will be okay.'

There were no winners in the crab-catching game.

By the time they came ashore, everyone was soaked.

Fiona watched, torn between annoyance and laughter.

Without a word, she opened her camera and captured everyone's messy appearance.
