Chapter 1161

Fiona stared at the memory card in her hand, her mind racing.

She remembered what Darwin had told her about Rex's rough upbringing, kinda like his own—ignored by his parents and raised by his grandma.

That was probably why Darwin, who usually kept to himself, gave a damn about this boy.

Fiona retrieved her backup computer from the car, inserted the memory card into the computer, and carefully examined its contents.

When she looked at the dates, she was floored.

There was no footage for the day Darwin drove out.

After Darwin got in the car, the dashcam was turned off.

Fiona felt all kinds of confused.

Her phone buzzed.

It was Darwin.

Fiona took a deep breath and answered.

"Hey babe, where you at?" Darwin's voice was soft. "Lyold made fish soup. Want me to bring you some?"

"Nah, I'm dealing with some work stuff. I'll come over when I'm done. You go ahead and eat," Fiona replied.

"Is it tough?" Darwin asked.

Fiona sighed. "Not really."

"Alright, I'll save some for you."

"Okay, thanks."

The call ended.

Fiona sat in the back seat, feeling numb and frozen.

Her unease grew, like the answer was right there but just out of reach.

She got out of the car.

Mike was still hanging around nearby.

Fiona said coldly, "Go back and focus on the area where Mr. Solomon attacked the man. Fan out from there and collect all surveillance footage of Mr. Solomon and the boy from that day."

"Got it," Mike said without hesitation.

Mike was never tight with Darwin.

Because of past events, he even disliked Darwin.

Only after Darwin lost his memory and changed did Mike stop wanting to deck him.

Now, seeing Fiona's expression, it was clear something was off with Darwin.

Mike felt a rush of excitement, thinking, 'If Darwin screws over Fiona, I'll find the proof, give it to her, and let her dump his ass!'

After all, the Solomon Group and Darwin's assets were already in Fiona's hands.

'Let's kick this jerk out!' With that thought, Mike was pumped.

He hurried away.

Upstairs, Darwin went to grab Chicago's iPad.
