Chapter 1246

Fiona had been jet-setting for work so much over the past few years that she’d become a pro at catching Z's on planes and in cars.

When she woke up, the daylight was blinding.

First thing she did was check her phone for updates from Darwin’s side.

She had this app that not only let her view the surveillance but also check Darwin’s health stats, meals, and meds for the day.

Thanks to Hubert’s coaxing, Darwin had eaten something, but he was still in a foul mood.

For the first time, he asked to see Fiona.

Hubert gently turned him down.

Darwin lost it, but after seeing the chaos he’d caused, he seemed to snap out of it. He apologized to Hubert and pleaded, “I know Fiona hasn’t left Cyberia yet. I just want to see her for five minutes.”

Hubert still gently refused and tried to talk to Darwin about his hallucinations.

After being turned down twice, Darwin shut down and stopped talking to anyone.

Meanwhile, Fiona pursed her lips and turned off the app.

Just as she was about to get out of the car to stretch, she heard an argument. “Hubert, I’ve been working with you all this time. I don’t want to be transferred to Armie!”

“Rose, I’ve told you, this is a great opportunity. You majored in marketing. You shouldn’t be wasting your life in the lab with me. Ms. Rhoads has set up a great position for you. Graduates are fighting to get in.”

“No!” Rose grabbed Hubert’s arm, making him stop.

Then she noticed Hubert was looking ahead.

Rose frowned and followed his gaze.

She saw Fiona.

Rose was livid. She shook off Hubert’s hand and stormed towards Fiona.

Hubert couldn’t stop her and chased after her.

Before Rose could get to Fiona, Christopher and Mike jumped out of a car nearby, pointing at Rose and shouting, “Step back!”

The car was cramped.

Fiona had been running around Valcia all day, and her body was stiff from sleeping in the same position for too long.

She stretched a bit and waved at Christopher. “It’s okay.”

Rose didn’t dare get too close to Fiona. She was fuming, her eyes practically shooting daggers. “What right do you have to kick me out of the lab?”

Fiona said, “Ms. Everhart, you’re smart. You know what I mean.”

“I would never hurt Darwin. Grandma Mitchell raised me, she treated me like gold,” Rose said urgently.

Fiona stood there like a beautiful statue, her features delicate, her demeanor extraordinary, standing quietly.

She just looked at the angry Rose calmly.

“Rose, be good!” Hubert grabbed Rose’s arm. “After Darwin’s treatment is over, if you still want to come back, you can come back!”

“No wonder Darwin’s been healthy for so many years, and suddenly his illness flared up!” Rose looked at Fiona, speaking each word clearly, “It’s all because of you, Fiona, you’re too overbearing!”

Hubert was shocked.

Mike’s temper was quicker than his brain. Before Fiona could react, he suddenly stood protectively in front of her, saying, “Mr. Graham, what kind of dog did you raise? Why is it barking here?”

“Rose!” Hubert was obviously angry, he furrowed his brows and shouted.
