Chapter 1196

Perhaps it was the interns' conversation that restored the missing piece of Aiden's memory.

It was Aiden and Marisole's anniversary.

Aiden wasn't into crowds anymore, so they decided to chill at home all day.

Early in the morning, Aiden suddenly woke up and headed to the kitchen.

The knives were hidden, but he managed to find one. Marisole's voice startled him, "Aiden, what are you doing?"

He gripped the knife and looked at her. She stepped back, scared.

"You've been a problem for my mom," Aiden said. "She planned everything for me, but you ruined it."

Marisole pleaded, "Aiden, put the knife down."

"I'm not the cowardly Aiden. I'm my mom's true child. Aiden's a fool. Everything he couldn't do, I did!" His face twisted with anger.

"Because of you, Aiden locked me away. It was so dark. But I got out and saw you all against my mom!" He got even angrier.

"Anyone who hurts my mom deserves to be torn apart!" He lunged at Marisole.

She tried to dodge but ended up on the ground. Aiden's hand, once loving, now gripped her neck.

Desperate, Marisole said, "Aiden, I'm pregnant."

Aiden's face showed pain for a moment, then turned even more twisted. "I'll rip the baby out of you. You don't deserve to have my child!"

It was too easy for a madman to strangle a defenseless woman.

Marisole died that morning, her stomach cut open, her organs and the embryo removed.

She was dumped in the wilderness.

Aiden sat on his hospital bed, hands shaking. He always remembered a brother who looked just like him and loved Brooke.

When he got sick, his brother would visit and scold him for not treating their mom well.

Aiden didn't go mad or cry. He wrote a long suicide note.

Three years later, he agreed to see Brooke.

She cried and apologized, even tried to kneel. Aiden wasn't harsh to her.

He believed that Brooke loved him; otherwise, she wouldn't have preferred being blamed as the murderer and wouldn't have mentioned that he killed Marisole.

After that meeting, Aiden killed himself in the bathroom.

People speculated about his death—illness, jumping off a building, overdose.

Years later, Fiona found out the truth from a document.

Aiden used a torn hospital gown to hang himself in the bathroom.
