Chapter 890

Samuel fell in love with Anna while they were in college.

He courted her for a long time before finally marrying her!

The Smith family appeared once at Anna's wedding.

Kenny also saw them just that one time.

Later, he went abroad to study and rarely came back. His family hardly mentioned these matters.

Kenny didn't know if there was any contact afterward,

"What's wrong?" Thalassa noticed that Kenny seemed off.

"Nothing. You go play with Fiona and the others. I'll go check on it." Kenny looked at Thalassa with a gentle and indulgent expression.

Thalassa nodded.

Kenny then followed the steward.

Fiona noticed Kenny's expression and speculated in her heart that Thalassa's sister-in-law's relatives might not be good people.

In the hallway, several elegantly dressed people were talking.

Two women, one in her early twenties and the other in her forties or fifties, both looked glamorous.

Two men, one was in his fifties or sixties and the other was in his early twenties.

"Why are they making us wait here for so long? Isn't the Johnson family the most attentive to etiquette?" The young man was a bit impatient.

The older woman was also slightly annoyed. "You all need to be patient. We're here to ask Kenny to help you with your job. Control your temper!"

The man grunted reluctantly.

The young woman was touching up her makeup in front of the mirror, leaving no room for flaws.

"Kenny!" Leo suddenly called out.

Abigail immediately looked over.

In front of them, a tall, handsome man in casual clothes with long legs crossed the threshold and walked toward them.

Abigail's heart raced at the sight, beating rapidly. After so many years, she finally saw Kenny again.

Compared to when Kenny married that lowly Anna, he had matured into a charming man.

"Kenny!" Amelia greeted Kenny warmly.

Sweating profusely, the steward followed behind Kenny and introduced the speaker as Anna's stepmother.

"Kenny, long time no see!" Abigail, who was actually five days younger than Kenny, spoke sweetly.

"Hello, everyone." Kenny's expression was indifferent. "What's wrong?"

"We came to see Anna!" Amelia replied, "Also, we never received your wedding invitation, and we heard your wife is about to give birth, so we came to see if we could help!"

"Thank you." Kenny's tone remained cold. "Does Anna know you're here?"

"We wanted to surprise her! So we didn't tell her! Is Anna at home now?" Amelia asked.

"She took the children abroad to see an exhibition," Kenny replied.

"That's unfortunate!" Although Amelia said so, her lack of surprise on her face suggested she already knew that Anna wasn't there. "It's okay. We planned to stay a few more days this time. We'll wait for her to return!"

"Kenny, I brought you a gift!" Abigail immediately took out a small box from her bag and then opened it as if presenting a treasure. Inside was a vintage diamond cufflink. "Anna mentioned you like these old items. I saw this in a jewelry store while vacationing in Europe, and I thought it would suit you, so I bought it!"

"No need for gifts." Kenny coldly declined, then said to the steward, "Arrange for them to stay in the North Wing of the Walker family."

The North Wing of the Walker family was where any non-residents of the main household stayed.

Usually, the guests were somewhat familiar faces.

Abigail stepped forward, acting coquettishly, reaching out to pinch Kenny's cuff. She said, "Kenny, can't we stay on Anna's side?"

"Kenny, if you're not in your room with Thalassa, what are you doing here?"
