Chapter 1033
Fiona nodded and wanted to leave. Suddenly, something came to her mind.
"What about the reporter you caught?" Fiona asked.
"Mr. Walker let him go, but he didn't go far and had been lingering around the hospital."
"Then I'll trouble you to catch him again," Fiona said with a gentle smile.
Under Kenny's meticulous care, Thalassa had recovered exceptionally well. She felt she could go straight to work at the construction site now.
Knowing that Fiona was about to return to the Bay City, Thalassa already began to feel a premature sense of reluctance and longing.
When she knew Fiona was coming, she pitifully clung to the door frame, looking towards the elevator.
Seeing her like this, Kenny said, "If you really can't bear it, go back to the Bay City with them. I can arrange for a maternity care center there right now."
Thalassa certainly wanted to, but she said, "How can I? Scarlet has invited so many guests... I can't just rely on her and then hurt her recklessly. That would be so bad!"
Kenny smiled helplessly. He was about to say something when Thalassa saw Fiona and Stella coming out of the elevator.
Thalassa hurried over.
"Are you here for me or the desserts?" Fiona shook the things in her hand.
Thalassa was even happier. "I'm an adult and a mom now. I can have it all!"
Fiona laughed and handed her the dessert.
After getting out of the elevator, it felt no different from the usual upstairs. However, Fiona could still keenly sense many eyes in the shadows focused on her.
She pretended not to notice and let Thalassa hold her arm as they walked towards the room.
"Fiona." Kenny stood up.
Fiona exchanged a glance with him. "It seems you have quite a few guests today. Go back and help Scarlet entertain them and leave us some space."
"Yes, go help Scarlet. You're just watching me here!" Thalassa waved her hand quickly.
Kenny looked helpless. "Alright, I won't disturb you."
Thalassa waved her hand again.
Kenny exchanged another glance with Fiona.
Fiona nodded slightly, and Kenny reminded the nurse to give Thalassa her health drink in half an hour before leaving.
Stella was already carefully holding Nora.
Nora was still awake, her big black eyes curiously staring at Stella. When Stella teased her, she started to laugh. When she laughed, everyone in the room laughed along.
"I finally understand why, after you had your baby, it was so hard, and you didn't want to be separated from Charles and Chicago for even a moment. Now, as long as I'm awake, most of my time is spent looking at her, and it gets worse every day," Thalassa said, holding Fiona's arm and resting her head on her shoulder.
After a pause, she suddenly choked up. "Fiona, my mom must have treated me like this, too, right?"
"Of course." Fiona hugged her waist and gently stroked her. "When Nora grows up a bit more, you can take her to see the Careys. Nora is so beautiful; they will definitely love her and be very happy."
"Yes!" Thalassa took a deep breath, smoothing out her wrinkled emotions.
"What are you guys doing? Why are you looking at us so lovingly?" Stella looked over and teased mercilessly.
Fiona and Thalassa laughed speechlessly.
When they were together, they always had endless things to talk about.
Stella had wandered abroad for too long, and now, back home, she had Mason to care for.
