Chapter 1016

'Hunger will sap Amy's strength, leaving her unable to struggle any longer,' Angela thought.

Then she walked towards the attending doctor's office.

Staying in the hospital was too expensive. She needed to get discharged as soon as possible.

Fiona had just returned to the Walker family when she received an overseas call from Hubert. "Ms. Woods, I have already contacted Patricia. Around eight o'clock tonight, I will bring the team to Sunset Valley Heights."

"Thank you, Doctor Hubert," Fiona replied politely, "Sunset Valley Heights is very close to the Bay City. When you have time, remember to come over here. I will make sure to host you well."

"I will," Hubert chuckled on the other line, "I have long heard of you and would very much like to meet you."

Fiona responded with a smile, "Then I await your visit."

Hubert said, "Alright."

After a brief exchange, the call ended.

"Was that the doctor?" Stella asked.

Fiona nodded. "He has already contacted Patricia, and they will come tonight."

"Anna has such a wide social circle. Such an important person comes just like that!" Stella gave a thumbs up.

Fiona remained silent.

In truth, Anna and Hubert did not know each other.

When Hubert learned of the matter, he did not contact Anna, only Fiona.

Fiona had a vague feeling that perhaps Hubert needed something from her or the Rhoads family.

"Is Jessie still wary of Mr. Solomon?" Stella asked, turning her head to see Jessie eating watermelon at the entrance of Chicago's room.

Fiona sighed. "Maybe she'll be better once she's home."

"Has Mr. Solomon started getting involved in the group's affairs?" Stella glanced at the study room, which had its door tightly shut.

"Yes." Fiona nodded. "He is very good at business. Once he figures things out in his mind, everything becomes clear."

"That's good!" Stella responded, "To be honest, although you are a couple, I still hope your energy and abilities can be focused on your career."

Stella had known Darwin for over a decade. She watched as he slowly hollowed out the Solomons, which Anniston had painstakingly built. She also knew that the core of the Solomons was Darwin.

As long as Darwin returned, no matter what position Fiona held or how well she did, they would still only recognize Darwin.

Stella did not have a favorable impression of Darwin.

She watched as Darwin made Fiona endure the anger and revenge that originally belonged to Lilian.

She also saw the emotional abuse treatment Darwin gave Fiona.

Stella thought that Darwin always loved himself the most. So she hoped Fiona could have her career rather than running the Solomons together with him.

When the relationship was good, everything seemed right, but when it was not, it was a different situation.

Fiona was far less ruthless than Darwin.

"I know." she nodded.

"Alright then!" Stella threw away the watermelon rind, patted her knees, and stood up. "I'll take Milo back. I haven't slept well these past few days, so I need to rest!"

During the days Stella and Alexander went to the church, Milo stayed with Fiona.

Under the care of the children, Milo had grown even plumper over the week.
