Chapter 111 Granddaughter

ones one by one? When her mother was buried, she was just a little girl!! Where were you all at that time? Do you know what she said to me when her grandmother passed away? She said she had no family left in this world!! And where were you all at that time?"

As he spoke, the uncle put the flowers back.

"You didn't care when she was alive, but now you're putting on a show for the dead, how hypocritical! You can give these flowers to whoever you like, let someone else deliver them!"

After saying that, the uncle walked away.

"This guy..." the young man looked at Janna, "Madam, should we still go inside?"

"He just said, what's my granddaughter's name?" Janna Rhoads snapped out of her thoughts and asked in a deep voice.

"It seems to be Xiaomeng," the young man replied.

Janna Rhoads didn't know why, but she subconsciously thought of Fiona.

"Did he also say that Xiaomeng has no remaining family?" Janna Rhoads asked again.

"That seems to be what he meant," the young man nodded.

Janna Rhoads suddenly felt dizzy.

Stuart held her, "Madam!"

"It's nothing." Janna steadied herself, "Let's go inside, I... I have to see!"

Led by the young man, Janna crossed over twenty years and finally stood in front of Jane. On the tombstone, Jane's smile seemed as fresh as ever. Janna’s hand trembled as she gently touched it.

"Child, mom has come to see you. Mom has already found out what happened back then, it was Alice who harmed you... Mom wrongly accused you and caused your death!" Janna cried with tears.

Then, her gaze fell on the lower right corner.

"Fiona is here."

Janna Rhoads was thunderstruck.

"Fiona... it's actually Fiona!"

"Madam, this joint burial grave here was also made by Fiona!" the young man reminded.

Janna looked over. In her mind, all she could recall were the words Fiona said at the dining table yesterday. Her granddaughter! She should have been cherished and raised in a privileged life!

But because of Jana’s own foolishness, Fiona ended up grew up in a living hell!!

Janna walked out of the cemetery in a trance. As she was about to get into the car, she suddenly coughed up blood.

"Madam!!!" Stuart exclaimed, hurriedly carrying her and rushing to the nearest hospital.

Fiona had finished buying things and sent them for delivery on the spot. Just as she was about to return, the cemetery caretaker called her.

"Xiaomeng, do you know that your father's family has not died out?" The caretaker's words were irritating from the start, "There's something I've been meaning to tell you. A while ago, a young man who didn't look like a good person came asking about your mother. Today, he brought an elderly woman with silver hair and a foolish person. Your mother should be worshiped! I went up and asked who she was, and she said she was your mother's mother-in-law!"

Fiona's face immediately turned cold. Does Janna Rhoads not understand human language? Or did she disturb her mother?

"I was furious at the time, with no one taking care of you in the family despite the tragedy. So I scolded her!"

"Uncle, thank you," Fiona said warmly. "You've watched me grow up, and you know how difficult it has been for me... so you're even more angry at those people!"

Fiona smiled and said, "When I come back next time, I'll bring you two bottles of good wine!"

"No, no, Uncle doesn't want these things from you! Just live well!"

They exchanged a few more words then Fiona hung up the phone.

Janna Rhoads went to the grave, and she would surely see the person who erected the tombstone, right?

As she was thinking, an unknown number called. Fiona hesitated for a moment, then answered.

"Miss Woods, it's Ah Guang. Grandma Rhoads has coughed up blood and been hospitalized. Please come quickly!"

Ah Guang was the one who kicked Joseph away before.

"Coughed up blood?" Fiona frowned slightly.

"Yes, I'll send you the address. Please come as soon as possible!"

When Fiona arrived at the hospital, she was calm and composed.

Janna was still in a deep sleep. Her face was as pale as paper. It seemed that she had been greatly distressed at the cemetery.

"The doctor said, Grandma has experienced a heart rush," Ah Guang informed Fiona about Janna’s condition.

Fiona sat down next to Janna. She thought about what she said last night. Could Janna Rhoads not be overwhelmed with anger?

"You all should get some rest. I'll take care of things here," Fiona kindly told everyone.

Everyone except Stuart left the room. Stuart's eyes were red, indicating that he had been crying. Fiona knew that Stuart had been raised by Janna since he was young. He was physically strong but lacking in intelligence and had an introverted personality. He normally only trusted Janna.
Janna Rhoads had always been in good health before, so this sudden coughing up of blood must have frightened Stuart.

Fiona didn't pay him much attention. She took great care of Janna. After about half an hour, Janna woke up. She looked dazedly at Fiona and anxiously reached out her hand. Fiona glanced at her and handed her own hand to her. Janna Rhoads immediately grasped it firmly.

"Grandma Rhoads, do you feel uncomfortable anywhere?" Fiona asked with concern.

Janna looked at her and, with an urgency, wanted to reveal that Fiona was her granddaughter.

But she suddenly remembered Fiona's words of hatred from yesterday.

"I'm fine," Janna Rhoads replied softly, her gaze fixed on Fiona.

This child doesn't look like the father or the mother. Instead, she resembles her grandmother. But upon closer inspection, there are also traces of Jane between her eyebrows. Why didn't she notice it before?

"Why are you looking at me like that?" Fiona asked knowingly.

Janna shook her head, filled with bitterness. At that moment, Stuart also approached.

Janna glanced at him.

Stuart squatted beside her, and Janna patted his head. "Your grandma won't die, so why are you crying when you're already so grown up?"

"I'll go get you something to eat!" Stuart hesitantly left the hospital room.

In the room, only Fiona and Janna remained. Janna looked at her again. After carefully considering her options, she made a decision. The matter of acknowledging each other would take time, so she would first bring her granddaughter closer. As time passed, as the bond grew deeper, hopefully it wouldn't be too late to talk about it.

"Fiona." Janna held Fiona's hand. "You are so talented. Stop being Darwin's substitute lover. Come back with me, and I can at least give you a deputy director position!"

Before Fiona could speak, Janna increased the stakes.

"Perhaps you don't know, but all of my children, even my own nieces and nephews, are useless. I can't entrust my legacy to them. That's why I've been searching for an heir these past few years, and I've set my sights on you!"

"Still, no," Fiona lowered her eyelids. Then, casually and calmly, she dropped another bombshell.
"I'm pregnant."

"Pregnant?" Janna almost sat up.

"Yes," Fiona looked at Janna. "I don't have a father, so I don't want my children to grow up without one."
