Chapter 1019
Rather than letting Abigail live, Anna would rather Abigail be dead.
"Anna." Samuel's voice pulled Anna back from her thoughts. "Dinner is ready."
Anna looked at Samuel. Sometimes, she was truly grateful for the arrangement of fate, which eventually brought Samuel to her side. Otherwise, she might never have escaped the Torres family in her lifetime.
"What's wrong?" Samuel sensed that Anna's mood was off and quickly asked.
Anna didn't hide it. "I just got a call from the prison. David wants me to get him a lawyer."
Samuel instinctively frowned.
"I refused and told them not to call again." Anna patted Samuel's arm. "Go wash your hands and eat."
Samuel nodded.
After walking a bit further, he took out his phone to send a message.
Samuel: [I don't want David's matters to disturb my wife anymore.]
Soon, the other party replied.
Unknown: [Understood. I just checked; it was David's public defender who contacted Mrs. Walker. It won't happen again.]
Samuel: [Good.]
Samuel finished replying and put away his phone.
"Dad!" Brady came out after washing his hands and immediately ran over to hug Samuel.
"Your mom said you played outside all day today, right?" Samuel tapped his nose. "Did you have fun?"
Brady nodded vigorously. "I had a great time. I really like Chicago and the others!"
Samuel suddenly remembered that a few days ago, when he accompanied Anna to a meeting, she passed by a mall and was completely captivated by the little girls' dresses.
She ended up buying them all for Chicago.
While buying, she kept saying, "Chicago is such a beautiful, cute, and smart child. If any of my silly kids could marry her, I would be happy for the rest of my life."
He looked at Brady.
Although Brady wasn't very smart, his facial features were quite good.
If he slimmed down a bit, he would definitely be handsome!
If he could marry Chicago in the future, the Solomon family, not to mention their economic strength, the Walker family wouldn't treat him badly either. Chicago's parents were wonderful people and wouldn't mind that he wasn't smart.
"Brady!" Samuel pinched Brady's cheek. "Do you like Chicago?"
"Yes, Chicago is amazing!" Brady replied.
"Then you should be good to Chicago and marry her as your wife in the future!" Samuel tried to plant a small seed in Brady's heart.
However, Brady shook his head repeatedly. "No!"
"Why? Don't you like Chicago?" Samuel was puzzled.
Brady said seriously, "Chicago and I are friends. Besides, is a wife a good person? Wives will spank me and don't give me pocket money!"
Samuel was silent.
"Dad, I know Mom often hits you," Brady muttered.
Samuel was practically mute.
He slapped Brady's face and pushed him away. "You're just a silly little goose!"
With that, Samuel stormed off.
Brady said, "Dad, don't scold me! If I'm an idiot, what are you? I'm your son!"
Samuel was completely speechless.
No wonder Anna always wanted to spank Brady. Samuel thought, 'He deserved it!'
