Chapter 1464

Everyone burst into laughter after hearing that.

Fiona felt a bit embarrassed. "Mrs. Walker, I might need you to explain our situation later. My husband is pretty strict."

The laughter grew even louder.

Darwin, as usual, didn't say much in the crowd but joined in the laughter.

"Brady, it's freezing out there! Come inside and chat!"

On the terrace, Janna called out to the people below.

Chicago waved at Brady from below.

Brady's eyes welled up with tears. "Chicago! We finally meet again! You've grown so much!"

This New Year's Eve was especially joyful for the elderly and the children, and also for Darwin.

During the New Year's Eve dinner, Darwin held Fiona's hand under the table, a smile never leaving his face.

Hubert was present, and Fiona had asked in advance, allowing Darwin to have a little bit of wine.

The children, after filling their bellies, left the dining room and ran outside.

Emerald Pool was brightly lit with decorations everywhere.

The kids, along with a dog, played until they were exhausted and collapsed on the grass.

Tonight, the sky was dotted with stars.

"I haven't had this much fun in a long time!" Brady Walker exclaimed. "It would be great if Ethan were here, too. He's so smart. He made a wooden robot for me at my house, and I've kept it safe ever since."

Mentioning Ethan brought a slight dampening to the cheerful atmosphere.

"I wonder how he's doing abroad," Chicago said, looking at the morning star. "Stuart had said that you could see the morning star from anywhere in the world. Why doesn't he come back? Spending New Year's alone must be tough."

Charlotte glanced at Chicago. She knew why but couldn't say.

Suddenly, Brady said, "I'm going abroad to study soon too."

Chicago was shocked.

"Probably after the New Year. Do you know which country and school Ethan is in? Maybe I can ask my mom to send me there too, so we can look out for each other!"

"No idea," Chicago shook his head. "Let's go ask Mom!"

Charlotte didn't want to move, but with Chicago and Brady getting up, she had no choice but to follow.

In no time, the kids were standing in front of Fiona and Anna.

"You want to go to the same school as Ethan?" Anna was stunned.

Anna looked at Fiona.

Fiona instinctively glanced at Chicago, who was looking at her.

She hadn't told Chicago that Ethan was missing."Brady, it's okay to be a bit slow, but you need to be self-aware. Ethan is at a top ten school in the world. Mom could donate a building or something to get you in, but staying in a place like that for long might make you feel inferior."

Brady was speechless.

After thinking it over, he realized Anna had a point.

Besides Ethan and Charles, he never really clicked with other smart kids.

They always thought he was dumb and made fun of his weight.

Chicago's face briefly showed disappointment after hearing Anna's words.
