Chapter 1119
When she worked in the CEO's office, she never thought she'd be with Darwin for so long.
What surprised her more was ending up with Darwin and having two adorable kids.
She also didn't expect Darwin to quit his high-profile job.
The elevator doors closed.
Darwin noticed Fiona seemed lost in thought and asked, "What's up?"
"Nothing much," Fiona replied, squeezing Darwin's hand. "Just wondering who among those getting the case files will betray us."
The elevator went straight to the garage.
As Darwin and Fiona walked out, they bumped into a VP from the Durhams.
Even though the Durhams and Solomons hadn't worked together much lately, Wyatt and Darwin's relationship kept the companies connected.
The VP was in the garage, chatting with another acquaintance of the couple, Antony White.
They quickly noticed Darwin and Fiona.
Antony waved immediately.
The VP from the Durhams hurried over.
"Mr. Solomon, Mrs. Solomon!" the VP called out.
"Kyle, what brings you here?" Fiona asked.
"The contract renewal." Kyle looked worried. "The Durhams are in chaos. I was supposed to come to the Solomons to discuss next year's renewal, but the higher-ups replaced me. I got a letter from the Solomons yesterday saying they won't continue working with us."
He was anxious and quickly bought a plane ticket, rushing from the capital city to Bay City.
"I heard about this," Antony said, walking over. "The people who came to discuss the cooperation had a rather arrogant attitude. They insisted on changing the profit distribution ratio before agreeing to the renewal."
"Those idiots thought the Durhams were making concessions to the Solomons!" Kyle was furious.
The Durhams' current chaos was just internal family disputes.
They were exhaust their ability to get their kids into the company to gain more influence.
To make their family name prominent, they were doing everything they could.
These young kids were ruthless.
Fighting for orders and projects was a daily thing within the Durhams.
But the project with the Solomons was something Kyle had worked on for years.
He couldn't stand to see it ruined by these idle kids!
"Mr. Solomon, Mrs. Solomon, please give me another chance!" Kyle's eyes were red and swollen, looking particularly helpless.
"Kyle, as I said earlier, the problem lies within the Durhams. The Solomons can't really adjust the profit distribution ratio for your sake," Antony said helplessly.
Kyle's eyes reddened even more. Tears were welling up.
Before Fiona and Darwin could speak, Kyle said, "How about this, I'll go back and confirm that we'll sign the new contract with the same ratio as before. I just hope Mr. Solomon and Mrs. Solomon can give us another chance to negotiate based on our past cooperation!"
Fiona glanced at Darwin.
"Okay," Darwin said simply.
Kyle was stunned, then immediately sighed in relief.
Everyone knew Darwin was tough in the past, and no relationship or persuasion could sway him.
No one expected him to agree so easily today.
"We're in a hurry to get back to our kids, so you should also hurry back to handle the contract," Fiona said gently.
Kyle nodded repeatedly.
Fiona then looked at Antony, nodded slightly, and got into the car with Darwin.
