Chapter 1336
Charles went quiet for a bit.
Then he said, "Mom and Dad are gonna live to be super old, and by then, we'll all be gray-haired and wrinkly."
Fiona was surprised to hear Charles say something like that.
She hugged him a little tighter. "Alright."
After tucking Charles in, Fiona dimmed the bedroom lights and settled into the small armchair by the big window.
Hubert had sent a message about half an hour ago.
He'd sent pictures of the medication bottles Aiden was taking.
Except for one brown bottle, the rest were white.
The sizes matched the ones Vespera had shown in the video.
This made Fiona even more suspicious.
Vespera must have found some clues back then, but she wasn't sure and didn't say anything. As she got older and her mind got foggy, this little obsession grew in her subconscious.
Something was off.
What she said didn't add up. Did she find something wrong with Aiden's meds? Or was it something else?
Fiona was deep in thought.
Her phone buzzed twice again. Fiona left the chat with Hubert and saw two unread messages from Emrys.
She thought there might be a problem at the hotel, but when she opened the messages, she read: [Mrs. Solomon, I just found another video in the album. Check to see if it helps with your investigation.]
Emrys had been missing Vespera and was going through videos related to her when he found this one.
The conversation caught his attention.
So he sent the video to Fiona right away.
Fiona opened the video, and it showed the same scene that Amias had shown her before.
In the video, the sunlight was a bit better.
Vespera was still sitting in the rocking chair, looking puzzled at the bottle in her hand.
Emrys asked her from the side, "Grandma, you've been staring at that bottle for three days. Can we switch to another one?"
"No switching!" Vespera suddenly got serious and scolded, "Mr. Graham said to take the medication properly!"
Coincidentally, the doctor Vespera had been seeing had the last name Graham, so Emrys didn't think much of it and said, "Okay, we won't switch. We'll listen to Mr. Graham. But Grandma, you keep saying something's wrong. What's wrong?"
Vespera looked confused again.
Her gaze went back to the bottle in her hand.
She murmured, "Yeah, what's wrong?"
After a moment, she whispered, "It shouldn't be this much. After 11 days, it really shouldn't be this high."
At that moment, someone outside called for Emrys.
The video ended.
Fiona's heart started racing.
She immediately called Hubert.
She asked, "Can you check Aiden's medication before the incident? Was one of the medications newly opened and taken for 11 days?"
Hubert was already looking at Aiden's medical records.
When Fiona mentioned it, he immediately checked the medication details.
Even though the medication was taken at home, Marisole had kept very detailed records.
Hubert saw it clearly.
He replied, "There are two medications that were taken for 11 days after being opened. How did you know?"
