Abigail didn't like Thalassa.
"You're right," Fiona chuckled coldly, "I'll relay your words to Kenny without changing a word and give him a good scolding for what a mess he's made! Ms. Torres, thank you for your reminder."
Abigail and Amelia's expressions immediately changed.
"What nonsense are you talking about? Kenny naturally has his arrangements!" Amelia scolded, then smiled at Fiona. "Mrs. Solomon, Abigail speaks without thinking, I know. The Carey family had a funeral before, which delayed the wedding. Don't mention it to Kenny; it will make our relationship worse."
"Sorry, I forgot about the big event in your family. I was talking nonsense just now!" Before Amelia could speak, Abigail immediately said with a fake expression.
Amelia almost wanted to kick Abigail.
"It's not good to talk nonsense." Thalassa stared at Abigail. "Haven't you heard the rumors online? I have a very bad temper, and being spoiled by Kenny and my family, even I'm afraid when I lose my temper!"
Abigail's expression stiffened a bit.
"If you talk nonsense in front of me again, I will take action, and then you will have to cry to Kenny for help!" Thalassa continued.
She originally looked harmless and non-aggressive. Saying such things made her even more eerie.
"You!" Abigail was speechless with rage.
When she saw Thalassa for the first time, Thalassa looked a bit younger than in the online photos.
People online had exposed that Thalassa was bullied badly in the former home.
Abigail thought she was an easy target. But Thalassa turned out to be sharp-tongued!
"Sorry!" Amelia pulled Abigail away. "Thalassa is right; we've spoiled Abigail. I'll scold her properly when we get back! You two go for a walk! You two go for a walk! I won't disturb you!"
As she spoke, Amelia dragged a reluctant Abigail back.
After walking a bit further, Amelia lowered her voice and scolded, "Have you lost your mind? How dare you give Thalassa a hard time in front of Fiona? Haven't you heard that the Rhoads family is not to be messed with? She's vengeful!"
"How strong is her vengeance? Will she want my whole family dead if I roll my eyes at her?" Abigail was full of anger. "How did Thalassa manage to deceive Kenny into marrying her? Did you see her weird attitude just now?"
"Enough!" Amelia glared at Abigail. "Can't you learn some patience from me? Back when I was with your father, wasn't he with Anna's mother? And now?"
Abigail remained silent.
Amelia continued, "There's no man in this world who doesn't cheat. Don't focus on Kenny's wife; focus on Kenny himself. Once you have his heart, that woman won't be a threat. Do you understand?"
Abigail grunted unhappily.
Who wanted to start as the third party? But now, there really was no other way!
"Mom, it's all your fault!" Abigail was very annoyed. "If you had kept a closer eye, how could Kenny have married someone else?"
"Who knew he was in such a rush to get married without even finishing his studies!" Amelia paused. "I always feel it's Anna playing tricks; who doesn't know that Kenny is the most likely to inherit the Walker family's business? She's just trying to prevent us from living better than her, climbing higher in status!"
Anna actually married the eldest son of the Walker family in North Alabama.
Amelia couldn't understand or accept it even after more than a decade.
Sometimes, in the middle of the night, she would be so angry that she couldn't sleep!
Clearly, she had planned meticulously, made Ava angry, and deliberately didn't encourage Anna to study.
If it hadn't been for Ava suddenly coming to the Torres family and taking Anna away, she would have married Anna off to just about anyone.
