Chapter 1199

"I found it by the roadside. Couldn't unlock it, so I asked Siri to call the owner's wife, and it dialed your number," the passerby said.

"Where are you? I'll come get it right away!" Fiona said quickly.

"Breeze Whispers Path," the passerby replied.

Fiona's heart skipped a beat. Breeze Whispers Path was near the park where she saved Darwin, about a half-hour drive from Emerald Pool. How did Darwin's phone end up there? When she left, Darwin had his phone on him!

"Okay, please wait for me. I'll be there soon and will reward you. Thanks!" Fiona hung up and called Christopher.

"Mrs. Solomon," Christopher answered promptly.

"Is Darwin at home?" Fiona asked coldly.

"When I left, Mr. Solomon was with Chicago in his room. He should be there," Christopher replied.

"Check immediately!" Fiona demanded.

Sensing something was wrong, Christopher ran towards the main building without even changing his shoes. He checked the garage and saw one car was missing.

"Why is one car missing? Who went out?" Christopher asked.

"Mr. Solomon said he was going to pick up Mrs. Solomon," the bodyguard said.

Christopher slapped his forehead. "Check the car's GPS right away and see where it is!" He called Fiona back. "Mrs. Solomon, the bodyguard said Mr. Solomon left an hour ago to pick you up."

"Where's Xavier?" Fiona's voice was icy.

"Mr. Solomon sent Xavier out shortly after you left. I'll call him," Christopher said.

"Call him later. Come to Breeze Whispers Path immediately!" Fiona ordered.

Christopher grabbed a set of car keys and sped off. On the way, he called Xavier, but no one answered.

Meanwhile, Fiona was also heading to Breeze Whispers Path. Burl, seeing her tense demeanor, didn't dare speak. What was usually a half-hour drive, Burl made in twenty minutes. He parked, and Fiona quickly got out.

"Fiona, slow down!" Burl called, following her.

The person who found the phone was an employee at a nearby 24-hour convenience store. He found it on his way to work, near the store.

Fiona quickly found him. "Thank you so much," she said, taking the phone. The screen was more shattered than before, with some components visible.

After giving a reward, Fiona left the store. She knew Darwin's password and unlocked the phone. She saw that an hour ago, Darwin had made six calls to that empty number again, and also to Xavier.

Fiona used Darwin's phone to call Xavier. The call went through, but no one answered.

Standing at an intersection, Fiona saw Central Park ahead, the Window of Art Museum behind, and paths leading to Emerald Pool and the Solomon Group building. Why did Darwin come here? And where did he go now?
