Chapter 917
Initially, this matter should have been a private affair for the Walker family. They could handle it themselves. But Abigail dragged Thalassa into it, changing the nature of the situation.
As long as David wasn't killed, how Samuel chose to avenge his wife was his business.
It was a wonderful vacation.
Although the Torres family and others of their ilk caused a slight disturbance at the beginning, the days gradually became calm and peaceful.
Before leaving, Fiona had organized her work thoroughly. Unless something major happened, she had little to deal with.
So, in the following week, Fiona and Darwin, along with their four children, had a great time. They caught crabs in the mountain stream.
Guided by the Walker family's servants, they picked wild berries in the edible mountains.
The most absurd thing was that Christopher and Mike had a competition to see who could pick fewer poisonous mushrooms originally, as they tied on the first and second days.
On the third day, Chicago somehow found out about this and found it very amusing. She promptly joined Mike's team.
Feeling Christopher was left out, she convinced Charlotte to join Christopher's team.
Charles and Ethan were not allowed to participate in the competition.
The reason was simple, these two boys were too knowledgeable.
If they were involved, the game wouldn't be fun!
Thus, after a joyful week, Fiona received an international call on the seventh evening.
"Should I call you Ms. Fiona or Ms. Chelsea?" The woman on the other line spoke in a mature but pleasant voice.
Fiona felt unfamiliar, likely someone she didn't know before.
"Whatever you prefer," she replied.
"Let me call you Fiona. After all, it is with this name that you have caused my daughter's agony unto death," the woman said slowly.
Fiona was silent.
"Let me introduce myself; I'm Lucia Stewart." The woman paused for a moment, seeming to be brewing up emotions, and then she continued, "I am Hathaway's mother."
"Pleased to meet you." Fiona wasn't surprised at all.
Calculating the time, it had been almost two months since Janna started targeting Atticus Bennett.
Lucia calling her at this time likely meant that Atticus was reaching his limit.
Lucia said, "Mrs. Solomon, let's cut to the chase. How long are you going to press Atticus? With the resources of the Rhoads family, it's impossible you haven't figured out that what I did has nothing to do with him."
