Chapter 944

In the next second, Wyatt became extremely cranky. He kept fantasizing that this was just his nightmare and that Stella would come back when he woke up.

Fiona looked on in silence.

The little kitten locked in the bedroom clawed open the door and stuck out its small head.

When it saw Wyatt crying, it ran out. Hooking onto Wyatt's pants leg, it climbed up towards him.

Wyatt put down his hands and looked down at the eager little kitten.

He reached out and grabbed her down. "Are you hungry?"

The kitten had been meowing all along.

Wyatt remained silent as he poured a small bowl of cat food for the kitten.

Then he squatted in front of the bowl with his hands around his knees, silently watching the kitten eat.

Seeing that, Fiona simply ignored him.

She continued to type on her computer, dealing with some work.

Wyatt didn't ask her to leave, but he also didn't pay attention to her. He fixed his eyes on the kitten.

After the kitten finished its meal, he played with it, holding a small ball of fur and a teasing cat wand.

It was ten o'clock.

Fiona's phone rang.

She glanced at it and answered.

"Fiona, what's up?" Oliver's voice sounded extremely anxious.

Fiona glanced at Wyatt. "Wyatt, Oliver wants to have lunch with you. What would you like to have?"

Wyatt didn't respond.

Fiona paused for a second and said to the phone, "Spanish cuisine. I'll send you the address. Don't bring anyone else, or I'll get angry."

"Got it! You're the boss, Fiona!"

The call ended.

Wyatt finally spoke, "I didn't say I wanted to go out to eat with you."

"I've already agreed. If you don't go later, I'll say you're scared. You're afraid of being scolded so you won't go." Fiona didn't even look up. "After returning to North Alabama, I'll tell Stella about you. Don't worry, I'll embroider the facts and talk about you in a way Stella won't like."

"Fiona!" Wyatt snapped.

After checking a set of data in her hand, Fiona looked up at Wyatt. "Are you angry? Do you want to put me on your list for retaliation?"

Wyatt's face turned slightly pale, his eyes reddened with anger. His chest heaved heavily.

Fiona said, "Departure at eleven o'clock sharp. You have an hour to consider and tidy up your appearance."

"Do you treat Chicago and Charles the same way at home?" Wyatt gritted his teeth. "Is your means always so despicable?"

"Don't compare my son and daughter with you. They are much more sensible than you," Fiona chuckled, "Well, can you hurry back to work? Look at the data feedback from the base, full of errors and omissions!"

Wyatt fell silent. He was burning with rage.

He didn't pay attention to what Fiona said, turned around, and went back to the bedroom.

Originally, he wanted to slam the door shut.

But...

When Stella was angry, she loved to do this.

When decorating this house, Wyatt deliberately avoided the possibility of loud collisions in terms of the choice of doors and hardware.

As the door quietly closed, Wyatt stood still, suddenly stunned.

The scene where Stella came here and attempted to slam the door came to his mind.
