Chapter 113 Breach of Contract
Darwin took Lilian to the hospital.
Shortly after, Lilian's friend Mia also arrived in a rush.

Darwin clenched his fists.
"The reason she came to see you this time is because she knew you had called off the engagement," Mia continued. "Mr. Solomon, you may not know how much Lilian loves you."
Darwin remained silent.
After a moment, a nurse came and asked about the patient's medical history.
"She has severe depression and anxiety, as well as heart disease and severe anemia..." Mia rapidly listed off.
The nurse furrowed her brows upon hearing this.
"No wonder she's so thin and sick. She needs to undergo proper treatment. Is the patient receiving any medical treatment?"
"No..."
The nurse sighed and left.
Darwin sat there in silence for a while before asking, "Why didn't she seek treatment at the hospital?"
"Lilian is afraid of hospitals," Mia looked at Darwin, "But I believe that if Mr. Solomon accompanies her, she will willingly receive proper treatment!"
Darwin pursed his thin lips. He instinctively touched his cuff. The cufflinks he wore today were not the ones Fiona gave him. He wondered when he could pester Fiona again to give him another pair.

Darwin ignored her.
Lilian was not in serious condition. She woke up after a while. When she woke up, Darwin was by her side.

"Darwin..." Tears instantly filled Lilian's eyes, and then she suddenly sat up and hugged Darwin tightly.
Darwin froze on the spot. The first thought that came to his mind was what Eric and Hathaway said during their conversation about Fiona cursing him. Called him a dirty man, because he sleeps with many women.
"Lilian, lie down and rest first," Darwin quickly pulled Lilian away.
Lilian reluctantly went back, still staring at Darwin foolishly.
Darwin glanced at the time.
She suddenly became nervous. "Are you leaving?" she asked, trembling.
"I..."
"Where's Mia?" she panicked and looked around, "Ask her to help me check out of the hospital, I can't stay here!"
"You can't leave the hospital, not only now, but also have to come for regular treatment in the future!" Darwin said seriously.
"I can't! I'm afraid of hospitals!" Lilian shook her head repeatedly.
"Why are you afraid of hospitals? You need to know that you're sick and need treatment," Darwin said in a deep voice.
"He forced me into the hospital and took away my uterus!" Lilian stared at Darwin, saying in despair, "You tell me why I should not be afraid, you tell me why!"
Darwin froze in place.
Lilian sat up, curled her legs, buried her head in her knees, and sobbed softly.
"He knew I loved someone else in my heart, so I didn't deserve to give birth to a royal child, so he took away my uterus..."
"Why didn't you come to me then?" Darwin asked in a deep voice.
"I knew you hated me!"
Darwin remained silent for a long time.
Then he sat down wearily, "I won't leave, I'll stay with you."
Lilian quickly looked up at him, her eyes full of surprise, "Darwin...thank you!"
"Rest now."
Lilian lay down, and Darwin reached out to help her cover the blanket.
After all the commotion, it was already the next morning.
Lilian's condition had not improved, and as soon as she opened her eyes, she wanted to find Darwin.
Meanwhile in Serene city, Fiona woke up early.
Ashton knew she would be going back today, jumping with joy.
"Should we start buying props for the decoration now?"
"Just about." Fiona replied.
While talking, she glanced at the time again and looked at the message she sent to Darwin.
"Have you left?"
No reply.
It was three hours ago.
Even if he was on the plane, he should have seen the message, right?

"Then I'll take care of the purchase!" Ashton said on the other end, taking on the task.
"Great, you're in charge. Well, I won't talk to you for now, I'll call Darwin first."
"OK!"
Fiona hung up the phone and dialed Darwin's number. The call was answered and immediately hung up.
Fiona's heart sank, feeling a sense of uneasiness. Just as she was about to call Liu assistant to ask if anything was wrong with the company. Darwin replied to her message.
"Something came up suddenly, I can't come to pick you up today, you stay in Serene City.
"Stay in Serene City for another two days," Fiona said, carefully reading the message for two seconds.
"Understood," Fiona replied, taking a deep breath.
Then she muttered to herself, "Why are you feeling anxious? You've already anticipated all possible good and bad outcomes. Worst-case scenario, you'll just take the children and run away..."
Darwin couldn't come. Fiona had no intention of staying in Serene City either. She bought a ticket for the soonest flight and flew back directly.
At the same time on Darwin's side, he was dealing with Lilian at the hospital. After observing Lilian for a day, the doctor allowed her to be discharged. Darwin escorted her back home.
"Darwin, when you have some free time, can you go with me to the hospital. I also want to get better," Lilian asked softly.
"Sure." Darwin agreed.
"Thank you," Lilian choked back tears, "So, what about us..."
"Lilian, it's most important for you to recover your health quickly," Darwin interrupted her. If possible, he wanted to immediately tell her that he was getting married soon. However he remembered what Mia said. Lilian had attempted suicide after finding out about their engagement.
"Okay!" Lilian responded, "I understand, I'll definitely recover quickly!"
Soon after, Darwin got in his car and drove away.
Lilian and Mia stood there, watching the car fade into the distance.
Lilian, who was just weak and unable to take care of herself moments ago, slowly changed her expression.
"He's not the same towards me as before," Lilian said slowly, "I thought he called off the engagement because of me, but it seems... not."
