Chapter 1208

Darwin saw Fiona and grinned. "Honey, you're here."

He pointed to the foot of the bed. "Rex said you brought him to the hospital, got his wound patched up, and he's been singing your praises ever since."

Fiona followed his finger and glanced over.

There was nothing there.

"Darwin, do you remember why you're here?" Fiona sat down next to him.

Mike walked in too, eyes locked on Darwin.

If Darwin made any sudden moves, Mike was ready to step forward and snap his neck, ending everything.

Darwin thought for a second, but his mind was a blank slate. "I remember he called me last night, then I sent Xavier to find him. Xavier couldn't find him, so I went out."

The rest of the night was a blur in Darwin's mind, like it was covered in thick fog.

Darwin already knew he was sick.

When he realized he had memory gaps and was in the hospital, his face went pale. "Did I mess up?"

Fiona's heart shattered over and over.

From Hubert's few words, she had a rough idea of what caused Darwin's illness.

His faked death and escape were the trigger, and the brain damage and pain from severe injuries just piled on.

This led to Darwin's willpower collapsing and his illness fully showing.

Fiona suddenly felt lost.

Wasn't she the one who was hurt the most at first?

Wasn't it her who was deeply wounded at first? Why was it Darwin who had lost it now?

"Fiona, what's on your neck?" Darwin suddenly noticed a small bruise peeking out from under Fiona's collar.

He reached out immediately.

"Just a bruise." Fiona pressed his hand down, holding it tightly.

Darwin looked at her. His expression slowly fell apart.

"Did I do that?" he asked.

"Darwin." Fiona looked up at him. "Did you ask his name?"

She thought Rex's appearance couldn't be a coincidence.

She thought of Rex and Darwin's very similar backgrounds and wondered if he could be a younger version of Darwin.

"Who?" Darwin asked.

Fiona pointed to the foot of the bed. "Him."

Darwin slowly looked over.

Rex, with bruises all over his face and his arm in a sling, smiled innocently at him.

"I gave you the name 'Rex'; I can't keep calling you 'boy'. You haven't told me your real name," Darwin asked.

Mike turned his head away.

His expression was more serious than ever.

Rex answered, "Aiden, Uncle Darwin, my name is Aiden Solomon."

Darwin was stunned.

"What's his name?" Fiona tightly held Darwin's hand.

Maybe knowing the other person's name would snap Darwin out of his hallucination.

Didn't Hubert say so? Knowing himself in a hallucination was better than not being able to tell fantasy from reality.

"Aiden." Darwin looked at Fiona.

Fiona was also stunned.

"What's his name?" she asked in shock.

"Aiden." Darwin was a bit confused. "It's the same as that person's name. You're also called Aiden Solomon? Why didn't you mention it before?"

Rex looked at Darwin.

His eyes were clear, and he didn't answer. He just tilted his head innocently and smiled at Darwin.
