Chapter 936

"Are you feeling better?" Darwin glanced at Burl and asked.

Burl let out a long sob. "I'm okay..."

Darwin nodded, and then abruptly changed the subject. "Were you also there when Charles and Chicago were born?"

Burl was slightly taken aback.

Then he shook his head and muttered, "But later, I heard from Thalassa and Dagwood that Fiona almost died. Luckily, I wasn't there at the time and unaware of the situation, or I would have been terrified."

Darwin's hand trembled suddenly.

"What... what happened?" he asked.

"There was a massive hemorrhage." Burl looked at him. "Although you have amnesia now, Fiona has forgiven you; whether she scolds you or not doesn't make much difference, but Darwin, you were really bad before!"

Darwin lowered his eyelids. "I..."

"Let it go; it's all in the past; just make sure not to make her angry in the future." Burl waved his hand. "Now, I just hope that our whole family can live well and peacefully like this."

Darwin nodded.

Burl took a sniff again and took a sip of the cool and refreshing ice cream.

After that, the two didn't speak much.

Burl was still trapped in his emotions.

Meanwhile, Darwin suddenly seemed to have an invisible chain wrapped tightly around him.

A heavy stone pressed against his chest, making it difficult for him to breathe.

Thalassa slept deeply and for a long time.

For her, it was just a day in the dream.

In the dream, her father was still alive.

The family lived as they used to.

Thalassa told Julian and Maria that she was going to be a mothertoo.

Julian was very happy. He drove his car, taking her to the mall to pick out gifts for his granddaughter. He bought various pink dresses and some cool overalls.

"You must be tired." After buying things on his way back home, Julian looked at her, the sunlight shining on his face, making him look even gentler than before. "I feel sorry for you."

Thalassa was originally very happy.

But when she heard Julian say that, tears burst out.

"Kenny is a good boy." Julian continued, "With him by your side in the future, I feel very reassured. Don’t worry; we are living very well now."

Thalassa nodded repeatedly while crying.

Then she woke up.

Fiona was lying by the bed, holding Thalassa's hand and sleeping.

Kenny noticed tears in Thalassa's eyes and gently wiped them away, feeling sorry for her.

Thalassa woke up, her tear-filled eyes meeting Kenny's gaze.

"Are you awake?" Kenny asked softly.

Thalassa nodded, and then whispered, "My Dad came to see me."

Kenny immediately understood why she was crying even while she was asleep.

"Don't cry." Kenny whispered, "This is a good thing."

Thalassa nodded. Then she looked at Fiona.

"Fiona has been here with you all along," Kenny said.

As he finished speaking, Fiona woke up, who didn’t sleep deeply.

Thalassa immediately smiled at her.

"Are you awake?" Fiona sat up and stretched lazily. "Are you hungry? I'll have the postpartum care meal brought in for you."

"Fiona, hug me!" Thalassa opened her arms.

Fiona smiled helplessly, bent down, and hugged Thalassa.

"Thank you for being with me; otherwise, I would have been so scared," Thalassa said with a hint of grievance.

"Back then, you were the one who stayed with me." Fiona said gently, "Okay, stop overthinking, hurry up and enjoy the first time alone with your family of three.
