Chapter 1419

The car cruised into the city center.

Fiona headed to the flower shop below her apartment to pick up the flowers she had pre-ordered.

Calista, as bubbly and friendly as ever, handed Fiona the flowers and asked, "I'm getting some top-notch sunflowers in a few days. Want to order some for your daughter?"

Fiona smiled as she took the flowers. "I'll let her dad decide."

With that, Fiona turned and left.

Fiona and Darwin used to be regulars on the trending list, and Calista had seen them many times while scrolling through short videos.

After Fiona left, Calista turned to the guy lounging in a deck chair, playing on his phone.

She said, "I saw a video saying her husband might have some terminal illness. He disappeared for over half a year, and no one knows if he's dead or alive."

"Didn't she just say her husband would be back to order flowers? Stop believing that fake news. Fiona's one of your best customers!" The guy clicked his tongue.

Even if something had happened to Darwin, the payment for the weekly flowers still came through on time, and Calista would deliver the flowers to the apartment door.

Calista patted her mouth and said no more.

Honestly, she hoped the couple would be okay. From what she had read online, they had been through a lot. The guy had been a bit of a jerk before, but he had turned over a new leaf.

Fiona had no idea that her visit had sparked such thoughts in Calista.

With the flowers in hand, she headed straight to the airport.

The holiday season was here.

The airport was buzzing with people.

Fiona stepped off the escalator, holding the flowers.

She immediately caught the attention of many people.

"She's so beautiful. Is she a celebrity?"

"Maybe they're filming a reality show or a drama?"

"Oh my God, it's Fiona!"

Some young people quickly recognized Fiona.

Fiona politely greeted them and headed toward the arrivals gate.

Despite the crowd, Fiona spotted Darwin the moment he turned the corner.

Darwin was dressed casually and wore a mask. His hair was a bit long and messy from sleeping on the plane.

Fiona's eyes welled up with tears.

As Darwin emerged and saw the sea of people, his gaze quickly locked onto Fiona, standing near the exit with flowers in her arms.

The man who had been so composed and calm moments ago abandoned his luggage and pushed through the slow-moving crowd to reach the person he had been longing for.

Fiona's eyes were filled with tears.

Darwin ran up and, without a word, pulled Fiona into a tight embrace.

He held her close, his body trembling slightly.

"I thought you wouldn't come to pick me up." Darwin murmured, burying his face in Fiona's neck, inhaling her scent.

Fiona hugged him back, gently stroking his back. "What about your luggage?"

"Forget it," Darwin said, sounding very aggrieved, holding Fiona even tighter, showing no intention of letting go.

"People are watching," Fiona said softly.

"Let them watch," Darwin replied, nuzzling her neck. "Fiona, I missed you so much."

"I know," Fiona soothed, patting his back. "Let's go home and you can hug me all you want."

Darwin held on for a few more seconds before finally letting go.

Hubert pushed Darwin's luggage over, looking resigned.

"Mr. Graham, thank you for your hard work," Fiona said sincerely, holding Darwin's hand. "If you need anything in the future, just let me know. I'll do my best to help."

"Don't worry, I won't hesitate to ask." Hubert nodded lightly.

"You're staying in Armie for over a month this time, so I won't rush to host you in the next few days." Fiona said, glancing at her watch. "I'll take him home first."

"Alright," Hubert agreed, not wanting to stand in the way of their reunion.

He watched as Darwin and Fiona, hands tightly clasped, walked toward the elevator, their fingers intertwined.
