Chapter 716 Unknown
"You can stay for one night, and tomorrow, I'll have someone send you off," Fiona said promptly.
Of course, Harold didn't want that.
"I have a half-month vacation!"
"You can go to other places for fun. There's a conflict happening here that can escalate into a fight any minute. If anything happens to you here, don’t blame it on me."
Harold immediately smiled, "Sounds like a pretty good idea, huh?"
Fiona fell silent.
"Can we have dinner now? I haven't eaten much all day, and I'm starving!" Harold continued.
"Master Klein, you're in luck tonight. Dinner is all fresh seafood!" Christopher said beside them.
Harold was a good person.
Every time he prepared gifts for Miss and Young Master, he never forgot about little Charlotte.
Soon, Harold took his luggage.
He followed Fiona, joking and laughing, heading toward Fiona's place of residence.
He had a rough idea of Fiona's preferences now.
The suitcase was filled with all kinds of snacks to satisfy her cravings.
If it wasn't so hot here, Harold would have bought some cheesecakes and such.
Cyrus had intended to come over after the experts left and tell Fiona that his family agreed to leave.
But unexpectedly, as soon as he ran over, he saw another man by Fiona's side.
Last night, Cyrus had looked up this person online according to what his mother said, and he was indeed the jewelry tycoon.
"Do you need anything?" Fiona asked Cyrus gently when she saw him.
She didn't sense any aggressiveness from this young man yesterday.
Today, he was even helping her.
The man who shouted and rushed toward her was obviously coming for her.
Even though he rushed over, Fiona wouldn't have any trouble with Christopher around.
But Fiona also appreciated his kindness.
"No," Cyrus shook his head, then said, "Earlier, my sister caused a bit of trouble. She just wanted to protect our father's inn and had no malicious intent. I hope you don't take offense."
"If you really feel sorry, why don't you go persuade those people who refuse to leave?" Christopher didn't have much goodwill toward Cyrus.
Christopher, who had been a killing machine for so many years.
He had a radar-like sense for bad people or bad things.
He didn't see this sibling pair as good people.
"I will," Cyrus blurted out.
Christopher was taken aback, "You promised to move?"
Cyrus lowered his eyelids, and in his peripheral vision, he saw Harold's superior appearance.
The men by Fiona's side were all such dazzling men.
"Yeah." Cyrus nodded, inexplicably feeling discouraged.
"Technically, because of this disturbance you caused, we have suffered a lot of losses, and I should deduct some compensation from you. But as long as you leave the island within three days, I will compensate you as promised before." Fiona's tone was indifferent. "My family has a medical group. If your sick brother-in-law needs treatment, I can help you make arrangements. Overall, if you cooperate with me, I won't mistreat you."
Cyrus swallowed saliva. "Blaise is fine. We don't need to trouble you. We'll be preparing to move tomorrow."
"Take care." Fiona nodded slightly.
Fiona didn't say more; they should have moved in the first place.
Now that Cyrus agreed, Fiona didn't need to be grateful.
She then walked toward her residence.
"Fiona, after dinner, can you take me around? Can we go out to sea? I also brought snorkeling equipment. Want to do it together? Grandma Janna said you really enjoy snorkeling!"
They walked further and further away.
Cyrus didn't hear clearly what Fiona said.
But Fiona's tone had a hint of a smile.
Cyrus stood dejectedly in place. On the way back, a fiery feeling welled up in his chest, causing him discomfort. He angrily kicked a handful of sand.
"Who is this guy?" Burl opened a can of canned peaches and was happily eating.
This man was acting suspiciously, always looking at Fiona.
"Aura's brother," the volunteer next to him replied. "You guys have so much good food. How can this taste so good?"
The volunteer watched as the other person ate the canned food, and his eyes lit up.
Burl decided to give him the whole can. "He's the brother of that savage woman. He's been circling around my sister."
Burl almost let it slip.
"He's always staring at Fiona. Could it be..." Burl's expression changed, "Could he be planning an assassination or something?"
The people around fell silent.
They thought he would say "seduction."
Burl was getting anxious. He walked aside and called Fiona.
Fiona answered the phone, "I thought you were going to pretend you're not on the island."
"Sis, tell Johnson and the others to be more careful of that black-skinned boy you just spoke to," Burl said in a lowered voice, "I suspect he has ill intentions toward you!"
"What happened?" Fiona also felt that Cyrus's attitude changed quickly. This morning, her sister was yelling and refusing to compromise. Now he's approaching her voluntarily, saying that he'll move away.
"Nothing much, just my intuition. This kid has been sneaking glances at you!" Burl sneered, "I heard it from the volunteer who lives in his house. They said that the islanders gathered at his house and even said that if things don't work out, they'll kill the person in charge!"
"Don't worry. With Christopher here and all the mercenaries you brought, even if they really have the guts, they won't succeed."
"Well, you still have to be careful," Burl muttered, "And by the way, how did Harold come? Are you really going to date him? Harold is not good enough. Darwin is better!"
Fiona was getting a headache from Burl's rambling.
She really missed the silent IT genius from the past who never spoke.
How did he become so talkative as he grew up?
"Fine, fine, you talk too much. Sneak over later, and I'll save you a big lobster."
"Okay!" Burl excitedly agreed.
Fiona hung up the phone.
Around the same time, the person investigating Aura's fiancé called.
Fiona listened and frowned.
"What do you mean there's no such person?"
"According to our current information, this person is named Blaise. He was a friend of Aura's brother Cyrus when they were in school, but we've thoroughly investigated the people around him, and there's no one named Blaise. It's like he appeared out of thin air!"
"How can someone just appear out of thin air? Keep investigating!" Fiona's frown deepened.
Then she thought of Cyrus's sudden decision to leave.
Could this person named Blaise be some kind of influential figure seeking refuge here?
But it didn't matter who he was.
As long as they stopped causing trouble for her and moved out as soon as possible, she didn't care about their identity.
The person on the other end of the phone responded and hung up.
Harold tilted his head and looked at her.
Suddenly, he raised his hand and lightly pushed Fiona's forehead with his fingertip. "Your eyebrows are furrowed like an old lady!" "
